Editor/Operator

Endeavor Streaming is an emerging, disruptive digital media and technologies department within the global Endeavor brand. As part of our continued development we are looking for people who are interested in joining our existing team based at our broadcast facility in Melville, NY.

General

An Editor/Operator is a part-time role that works specific events as needed. When working an event, the responsibilities will include ensure proper delivery of the feed from the TOC or a third party, monitoring and/or slating of a feed. Editing archives and/or highlights may be required as well depending on the project.

Who this role reports to:

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Digital Broadcast Operations.

Key areas of responsibility:
• Ensure proper delivery of feeds from either the TOC or a third party.
• Using a variety of tools put up and down slates when required.
• Using a variety of tools edit archives and highlights when required
• Ensure streams are working properly with pre/post game checklists.
• Internal reporting, and stream status updates

Required Skills and Experience:
• High School Diploma, GED or A+ Level Certificate
• Good communication skills, highly organized and detail oriented
• Basic video editing PC skills
• Average knowledge of smart phones, tablets, Apple TV, Roku and other connected devices
• Due to the nature of this role a, high degree of self-determination, flexibility and adaptability is essential
• A willingness to work collaboratively across departments depending on project requirements
• This role requires flexible and unsociable hours, nights, national holidays, and weekends

Desired Skills and Experience:
• College or University degree or coursework
• Understanding the anatomy of a typical broadcast
• Collecting, filtering and analyzing data regarding service operations to aid
problem/incident management
• Identifying service issues and following standard procedure or establishing workarounds on the fly
• Quality standards for service delivery and how to maintain them
• Experience with non-linear editing preferred
• Understanding of the causes and consequences of service failure, and how to respond appropriately.
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Expert Mac and/or PC proficiency

The position is in our broadcast facilities in 3 Huntington Quadrangle, Suite 304N, Melville NY 1174.

Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the range shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. Hiring Range Minimum:
$15.00 hourly

Hiring Range Maximum:
$18.15 hourly
