Director of Programming (Film 45)

This position is will oversee unscripted and documentary/docuseries current productions for Film 45. This role will be the point person on current productions, serving as a liaison between internal and external clients.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
• Work in conjunction with the Development department to transition projects that have been picked up into greenlit productions;
• Spearhead staffing efforts for current productions;
• Work with show's producers, studio executives to solve creative and production-related issues;
• Provide notes on cuts, ensuring consistent quality of work;
• Looping in HR, EIC, Finance, etc. when necessary to ensure that all Film 45 policies and procedures are being followed;
• Building, maintaining relationships as well as working strategically with network contacts;
• Ensure that show is staying on budget, alerting the proper team members regarding any foreseeable issues. All show-related decisions should be made with the budget in mind;
• Work with legal to facilitate above-the-line agreements;
• Work with Creative partners and Showrunners to ensure that agreed to concepts are fully realized in viable production plans;
• Build and maintain relationships with producers, directors, and above-the-line talent;
• Serve as project point exec for Film 45 departments and external network partners;
• Coordinate project release and marketing plan with internal film 45 marketing, Endeavor comms team and network PR.

Education and Work Experience
• Minimum 4 years in unscripted current or development capacity;
• Minimum 6 years of experience in television and have experience in development and/or production.

• Experience in unscripted television development or current programming, ideally from either a production or a development stand-point – network, studio or pod;
• Team player who works well with others, exhibits flexibility, is an avid TV watcher, strategic thinker and articulate communicator;
• Forward-thinking, proactive problem solver who presents ideas and solutions, and has the ability and confidence to cover series on their own and work with individuals with widely varying personalities;
• Assertive, enthusiastic and highly motivated self-starter with a passion for unscripted material;
• Polished with good interpersonal skills, creative sensitivity and diplomacy;
• Innovative and entrepreneurial with ability to anticipate/be proactive;
• Strong relationships with agents, managers, writers, directors and producers;
• Relationships with broadcast, cable and streaming counterparts a plus;
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high energy environment.
