RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a high-volume practice supporting a large group of client managers who operate within tight timeframes. Primary responsibilities include:
• To work in partnership with WME Independent's film advisory
• Negotiating and drafting a high volume of distribution and licensing agreements, as well as sales agent representation agreements.
• Involved in implementing and administering the business policies and procedures for WMEI's film advisory business.
• Working with management, creative, sales, and finance departments to provide information, business advice and consultation services on a regular basis.
• Fostering positive long-term relationships with the company's clients and customers.
• Involved in analyzing business and legal issues related to sales and productions.

REQUIREMENTS
• Candidates should have experience working in a film sales and/or distribution business & legal affairs department, and/or entertainment law firm.
• Minimum 3-4 years' experience, with the majority of that experience in film sales and distribution.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and organizational skills; experience drafting and negotiating all manner of contracts for film finance, and sales & distribution deals; experience with copyright and trademark matters.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact with a range of personalities and styles in a fast-paced environment, and explain complex concepts to clients and colleagues without legal training.
• Outstanding negotiation, drafting, analytical, and organizational skills.
• A curious mind, a strong work ethic, and a creative but practical approach to problem-solving.
• Position is based in the Beverly Hills, CA office.
• Admitted to Bar and in good standing.
