This Account Manager position will be part of a dedicated agency team responsible for managing athlete partnerships and sponsorship initiatives for a key client.

Responsibilities include:
• Lead the development and execution of the global athlete activation strategy
• Lead market-specific athlete research, serve as subject matter expert for supplying athlete recommendations and facilitating signings
• Draft & negotiate athlete contracts
• Manage athlete and agent communications
• Lead management and asset-tracking of athlete obligations and activations, globally and across regions; coordinate global collaboration as needed
• Provide strategic recommendations for athlete asset usage and in-person appearances
• Manage athlete appearances & production shoots, including digital and/or in-person appearances; responsibilities could include pre-event planning, communication, logistics/transportation and on-site management where applicable
• Coordinate with regional leads to ensure they are managing local athlete assets, appearances and facilitating payments
• Monitor athletes through review of social media, press releases and news articles across all available media platforms
• Manage approval process for global athlete activations; facilitate approvals through 160/90 regional staff
• Develop messaging plan and Games-specific newsletter for client and athlete audiences
• Work with vendors/stakeholders to create custom athlete marketing materials
• Prepare for and manage onsite appearances, logistics & tickets/hotel rooms at the Games
• Centrally manage and coordinate Global talent vetting and monitoring process, including managing communication with all Visa stakeholders
• Conduct background vetting and monitoring in accordance with Visa's Global Talent Procurement and Management Standard procedures and responsibilities, including monitoring of existing talent:
• Screen and process third-party monitoring search results in key markets
• Work with stakeholders to receive copies of all signed talent agreements
• Provide updates to the relevant Visa stakeholders regarding talent contract status and expirations, best practices, exceptions and related matters
• Procure and manage services, relationships and budgets with suitable third-party vendors for background check and media monitoring services where necessary
• Work with cross-client teams to assist in the development of, and regularly adapt and evolve (as necessary), the vetting and monitoring measures (risk assessment model, categories, scorecards, additional or alternative tools, etc.)

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant agency or client-based account management experience
• Experience working with athletes and within sports sponsorship
• Participation in the selection, negotiation, and evaluation of successful athlete sponsorship programs
• Knowledge of the Olympic and Paralympic Movement preferred
• Proven ability to prioritize workflow, manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive results
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with client management experience preferred
• Ability to think strategically and creatively, and to problem-solve independently and in groups
• Ability to travel 25% of the time (including weekend events)
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
