Senior Project Manager
About the Role
In this role, you'll serve as Senior Project Manager for Foundry's Content Operations team–specifically focusing on our lifestyle categories across home, travel, food, auto and more. You'll be responsible for facilitating the production process of native content and overseeing the operational aspects of all native programs living across the Dotdash Meredith portfolio of print & digital publications within these categories.
The ideal candidate brings experience producing high-caliber content for brands at a publisher, media company and/or agency. Creative problem solving, excellent project management skills, compatibility with a variety of working styles and top-notch organization are all key attributes of ideal candidates for this job.
In addition to daily tasks such as invoicing, contracting, and database (Airtable) tracking, you'll work closely with a Director-level lead to understand the budget requirements, resourcing needs, schedule considerations, and production logistics of a project, then orchestrate the people, content, and funds to turn that project into reality. We'll work to quickly onboard you so that you'll be owning smaller-level executions within a month's time, empowering you to provide your own unique creative vision and put your project management skills to the test.

• Project Management
• Provide creative resourcing and workload management for the lifestyle categories
• Work closely with client activation lead to establish project timelines and ensure deliverables and deadlines are met
• Act as the center of information for a native project; organizing all pertinent information, engaging the appropriate team members and external partners, and clearly communicating project needs, deliverables, deadlines, and individual responsibilities
• Act as production lead on all custom digital and print programs, overseeing production logistics, spending, contracting, creative development, and execution
• Supervise production to ensure it runs efficiently, effectively and on time
• Vendor Maintenance and Contracting
• Source, negotiate, and contract 3rd parties (freelancers, vendors, etc) for lifestyle native programs
• Oversee the process of working with freelancers and vendors that are necessary to execute sold programs, inclusive of vendor onboarding, contracting and invoicing
• Comprehensive Project Tracking & Expense Management
• Maintain tracking dashboard to ensure proper filing of deliverables, project coding, expense tracking, and assignment tracking
• Manage budgeting process, estimates, and COGS of native content projects to stay within the allotted margin

• Pre-Sale Brainstorms & Project Scoping
• Participate in the brainstorm process, establishing pre-sale production scope inclusive of high level timelines/milestones and budget requirements
• Provide budget estimates for native elements and compile comprehensive COGS (aka production budget) across native, talent, video and edit components for proposals
• Liaising with Internal Teams
• Field inbound requests from internal teams, determining the full scope of the request, along with a cohesive creative brief, and then distributing consolidated information to Foundry project leads
• Provide assistance to the Foundry creative team to realize their creative vision, ensure they have what they need for the content, and creatively problem solve with them
• Provide general support to category Director

• Effectively distill, translate, and address client feedback in a professional, and solutions-oriented manner
• Package up creative deliverables for the internal teams, and prepare supporting email language in for client activation team in client-friendly manner
• Participate in client calls, jumping in as needed to present production materials or provide more details on production tactics
Qualifications and Job Requirements
Education
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but relevant work experience and qualifications to be equally weighted
Experience
• 4-6 years in a full-time production or project management position at a publisher, media company and/or agency
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Gmail is required
• Airtable experience is preferred
• Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
• Experience working on print is a bonus
• Passion for and knowledge of Lifestyle content creation, specifically Travel content
• Ability to work quickly and smartly
• Top-notch organization skills
• A rolodex of relevant and reliable industry professionals is a plus
Location
• Ideal candidate is based in the New York metro area
• May require occasional travel to our satellite offices and production studios in Birmingham, Des Moines, or other locations for production-related needs

Pay Range
Salary: New York: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00
