Job Summary:

ABC11/WTVD, the ABC Owned Television station in Raleigh-Durham-Fayetteville, North Carolina, is looking for an investigative reporter who isn't afraid to hold people in powerful positions accountable. Our next investigator will be a leader in innovative and visual storytelling, as well as utilizing data to create impactful investigative journalism.

The ideal candidate will have experience in open records, FOIA, media law, social and digital production. In addition to investigative pieces, this reporter will appear as needed to assist in breaking news across all platforms. The person will have a strong work ethic, the ability to work under tight deadline, prioritize assignments, and have the flexibility to work any shift required.

Responsibilities:
• Pitch, develop, write and produce investigative stories on all of ABC11 platforms
• Ability to craft high-impact stories with data, various research tools and new technology
• Resourceful during breaking news in finding contextual content to the big story

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or equivalent
• Minimum five years' experience in journalism or investigative journalism
