Job Description
Disney's Research, Insights, and Analytics organization is looking for a Senior Research Analyst to join its Marketplace & Portfolio Insights team. If you're eager to learn and enjoy being at the forefront of consumer behavior, this is a great role for you!

You will closely collaborate with the Disney Platform Distribution division, which oversees all third-party media sales efforts for distribution, affiliate marketing, and affiliate-related business operations for Disney's direct-to-consumer services and linear media networks. This includes content sales agreements for General Entertainment, Studios, and Sports.

You will also contribute to various research initiatives, such as analyzing Pay TV trends (both traditional and DMVPDs), tracking evolving media and consumer behavior (e.g., television viewing, streaming, subscription changes, app usage), providing support for distribution negotiations, and assessing the competitive positioning of Disney's entire TV portfolio.

We are seeking candidates who are naturally curious and comfortable working in ambiguous situations to address complex questions about the constantly evolving media landscape. Additionally, the ideal candidate is a self-starter who can be equally effective in both structured and unstructured work environments.

Responsibilities:
• Provide cadenced reporting of Disney's TV portfolio (networks/streamers; usage/subscribers), along with competitive positioning.
• Participate in the collection, analysis and communication of data related to the larger media landscape – Pay TV subscribers, TV usage, SVOD subscribers, password-sharing, etc.
• Build collateral materials for sales and marketing teams in support of renewal negotiations across Pay TV operators and technology platforms.
• Collaborate with various research teams across Disney to share and amplify insights.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis support for stakeholders to help move the business forward.
• Be a student of the business by monitoring the latest news on the media industry and considering how that will impact our stakeholders and business goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in media research
• Working knowledge of Nielsen and digital research tools (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Comscore)
• Knowledge of media math concepts and data analysis
• Proficiency in Windows-based PC applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently and apply creativity in solving challenging questions
• Outstanding data storytelling skills through verbal, written, and visual communication.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Photoshop or digital image editing experience
• Experience with software such as SPSS, Tableau and Domo

Required Education:
• Bachelor's Degree

The hiring range for this position in New York is $78,800 to $108,350 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
