The Strategic Insights and Integration team is charged with finding the best methods to understand consumer behavior and preferences when spending money on entertainment content. The team plays an integral part in key business decisions for The Walt Disney Company's streaming services (Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ and theatrical/TV content). They work in a consultative manner across all aspects of Disney Entertainment's business portfolio to deliver complex ad hoc research and synthesize a wide array of data and insights to support decision making on strategic opportunities/challenges.
Strategic Insights and Integration dual reports to Brand Management (Corporate) and Studio Research & Analytics (Disney Entertainment). Corporate provides both thought leadership and insights & analytics on consumer sentiment, needs, and behaviors in entertainment across the world. Disney Entertainment is a global business segment for The Walt Disney Company with the mission of providing consumers around the world access to the content they want most, on the latest platforms, at a time of rapidly evolving consumer habits. Reporting to the Director, the Senior Analyst is responsible for performing analytics and helping shape insights for communicating strategic recommendations to executive leadership on business driving topics. As the key analytic resource on a wide variety of high-profile projects, the Senior Analyst prepares data that drives decision-making at the highest levels of The Walt Disney Company.
Responsibilities:
• Support ad hoc primary research/consumer insight projects to size and evaluate strategic business disrupting initiatives in collaboration with strategy and finance teams
• Conduct analyses to answer key business questions from Executive Leadership and ensure consumer insights used effectively and integrated into modeling/scenario planning
• Synthesize thorough yet succinct POV for initiatives that span across the Disney Entertainment and Corporate segments by analyzing business performance data and consumer insights
Qualifications:
• 3+ years' experience in a consulting, strategy, market research/consumer insights (focus on quant), or analytics role
• Ability to interpret and integrate insights from multiple data sources into a cohesive narrative
• Skilled with extracting insights from raw data and visually bring those insights to life in creative ways
• Strong analytical skills
• Proven project management skills and ability to create quality work within tight deadlines
• Possess strong collaborative yet consultative approach
• Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and proven presentation skills that clearly communicate data and research findings
• Works well in a team environment as well as independent work
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with consumer research (designing questionnaires and analyzing results)
• Entertainment industry experience
• Experience using statistical software packages like SPSS or similar
Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in California is $85,000.00 - $112,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
