Senior HR & Crew Advisor - 12 month FTC
Overall, Purpose of the Role

The Senior HR Advisor will support the Manager, HR & Crew Experience to provide proactive and commercially focused HR support for our EMEA based Film and High-End TV Productions.

The role will play an active role in the day-to-day HR support for our Productions. In conjunction with the HR team, the Senior Advisor will build relationships and assist in managing the crew experience to ensure we become the Studio of choice for crew.

There will be a strong focus on Employee Relations and training crews on relevant compliance courses. In addition, this role will work with our HR and Studios partners to continue the development of crew experience and D&I initiatives.

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

Areas of Responsibility
• Work with the Director and Manager, HR & Crew Experience to support Productions and key stakeholders to deliver against the TWDS business strategy.
• Support the Manager, HR & Crew Experience on employee relations issues; complaints and end-to-end processes to include grievances, disciplinary, performance issues and dismissals. Collaborate with key stakeholders including ER, Legal, Production office and
• Production Executive, escalating as necessary to ensure appropriate resolution.
• Ensure crew have a proactive and responsive contact point for HR queries and generalist advisory support, escalating as appropriate.
• Support the Manager, HR & Crew Experience to identify Production challenges and trends, leverage any crew data and insights to help develop effective solutions helping drive business strategy.
• Be a point of contact for Production Offices with implementing compliant Right to Work (RTW) checks. Assist the production to set up accounts with Sterling and train crew members to conduct RTW checks. Provide support and assistance with any on-going queries and unique scenarios.
• In partnership with Talent Acquisition & Crew Development, be a support for the trainees during their engagement on a production. Hold regular 1:1's, escalate any issues to Manager, Talent Acquisition & Crew Development.
• Assist in running induction and training sessions for trainees during on-boarding.
• In collaboration with the UK HR team, review Supervisor and trainee feedback to assess patterns of development needs. As part of the team, create and run sessions to meet the development needs.
• Support with the running of the relevant compliance training sessions for cast and crew.
• Participate in projects with the Crew Experience/HRBP/ ER teams and client level.
• Support the delivery of HR initiatives led by Studio HR team and COEs, such as diversity and inclusion. • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the communication, collation and distribution of HR correspondence.
• Safeguard confidential and sensitive information.
• Pro-actively share knowledge/insights/external learnings etc to ensure the team is kept up to date and a culture of feedback that enables ongoing improvement is developed.

Experience and Professional Qualifications Required
• Experience in client/customer facing HR support role.
• Evident experience of multi-national, fast-paced, progressive commercial organisations
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and people management skills
• Fast and effective relationship builder across all levels and geographies
• Experience of the Film/TV productions is desirable, but not essential.
• Demonstrable experience of grasping issues quickly and delivering effective and efficient solutions.
• Ability to adopt a consultant style approach to the role, partnering with clients, developing good relationships both within and external to the organisation.
• High level of personal credibility and ability to engage with the business and to exercise sound judgement.
• Well-organised and able to manage multiple projects/relationships.
• Self-starter and able to work autonomously (requiring minimal supervision).
• Demonstrable track record of delivering value-adding HR solutions.
• Familiar with relevant HR-oriented technologies and computer literate (Experience of SAP & WorkDay is desirable)
• Knowledge of the Right to Work checking process within the UK.

Preferred but not Essential
• Experience of working with media and creative client groups or businesses.
• Experience gained within a US multi-national or similar matrixed organisation.
• Experience working within the EU and the greater EMEA region would be highly advantageous.
• CIPD (or equivalent qualification) or working towards qualification.

• Familiar with relevant HR-oriented technologies and computer literate (Experience of SAP is desirable).
• Able to operate and work effectively with MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
