Job Description

The original Action News is looking for an Anchor/Reporter. The ideal candidate has rock-solid delivery, stellar news judgment, strong writing skills,and an impressive live TV presence.

As the #1 station in the #4 market, WPVI has a reputation for accurate, unbiased reporting that this person should be able to uphold. He/she should also be able to cultivate sources for enterprise and breaking stories, as well as engage with viewers in meaningful ways on social media. Great communication skills and a positive, team-player attitude are a must.

This person may be asked to participate in community events outside of the workday anchor or reporting tasks as assigned. Duties may require work on nights, mornings, weekends or holidays.

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of television reporting experience

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Dalet and/or knowledge of the Philadelphia area are both pluses.

Required Education:
• A degree in broadcast journalism or another relevant field (or comparative work experience)
