Summary
Disney+ is The Walt Disney Company's Direct to Consumer video entertainment service. The service consists of long form and short form video built around five content brands (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic) along with a wide variety of high quality general entertainment for adults, with an intuitive and easy to use interface available across multiple platforms (e.g. televisions, laptops, mobile devices).
The Disney+ EMEA team is responsible for the roll out and ongoing performance and operations of Disney+ across the region, specifically focused on programming strategy, marketing, customer acquisition and retention, partnerships, research, and analytics.
The Opportunity & Responsibilities
This role, reporting into the Director of Product planning and Operations will be responsible for the EMEA product roadmap definition, sizing and prioritization of the product asks.
The role will engage in close collaboration with local and regional teams to ensure the inclusions of regional and local requirements in the planning and execution of product requests. Additionally, it will work closely with the product teams (US and Hotstar) to convey regional priorities and receive updates on the delivery timelines of product roadmap items, facilitating their communication with the broader business.
Adopting a customer-centric and data-driven approach, this role will continually seek opportunities to enhance the user experience, resulting in increased satisfaction and, ultimately, driving profitability.
This role incorporates the following responsibilities spanning both Disney Streaming and Disney Hotstar products:
• Define a clear product vision and roadmap strategy for Disney+ EMEA.
• Establish and communicate product roadmap objectives that align with core customer and business needs.
• Build an effective collaboration with various product teams within a complex organizational structure.
• Lead a comprehensive, data-driven input process, collaborating with local markets to understand regional and market-specific nuances.
• Work in conjunction with key direct-to-consumer teams in EMEA to analyse customer journeys and ensure product request prioritization accordingly.
• Evaluate the customer and business impacts resulting from feature launches and product changes.
• Foster a culture of data-led decision-making within the product strategy and planning team.
• Champion innovation, encouraging creative solutions to enhance our products.
The Experience we require from you:
• Experience within a digital business such as subscription, retail or trading
• Data-led and customer centric approach with a proven track record of enhancing the user experience via product changes.
• Ability to build business cases and understand a broad range of KPIs.
• Experience working effectively with global product teams to deliver on regional & local market needs.
• Understanding of market nuances and dynamics to deliver a global strategy while also balancing local market nuances to drive local results.
• A strong data driven approach to understanding customer behaviours
