The Ads & Data Platform team is responsible for building and delivering the technology that supports Disney's industry-leading, multi-billion dollar advertising business. Working across all of Disney's streaming and linear channels, this team's scope is wide ranging – they impact everything from core infrastructure development to the viewer-first ad formats subscribers see on their screens. Award-winning technologies, like the proprietary Disney Ad Server or DRAX, Disney's programmatic advertising solution, are the backbone of Disney's ad business and a key driver of Disney's future success. This role is a part of the Salesforce Engineering team within the DE&E Ads & Data Platforms organization. Job Summary

The Principal Software Engineer, Salesforce Engineering role will focus on providing engineering and architectural direction for Disney's Salesforce environment. The right person should possess a deep understanding of Salesforce technology, features, functions and services coupled with a positive, solution-oriented attitude to drive the team forward with high-quality technical deliveries and improved processes and best practices. This person will be an important leader and influencer with strong communication skills that will work closely with a cross-functional team to deliver performant solutions for our world-class Ad Sales business partners.

The right candidate must be fluent in all aspects of Salesforce development (Apex, Visualforce, Process Builder, Workflow, Flows, Lightning Components, Integration, and Lightning Web Components, interfaces, integrations and services, data modeling and management), while also combining experience with modern JavaScript libraries, and tools. The right person should also blend their engineering abilities with a sense of craftsmanship, turning user stories into fully functional web components and applications. A strong candidate would possess multiple Salesforce certifications and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
• Lead the team to design, develop, maintain, operate and support high-quality, secure, scalable technical solutions on Salesforce, which includes products such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc
• Collaborate with team and peers to design complex applications, and peer review code
• Drive and provide guidance to project teams on architecture, design, development, integrations, and technical work breakdown for complex applications and workflows and work to align the work to the business strategies, principles, and practices
• Lead the team to implement quality coding practices across all development efforts related to our Salesforce implementations (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Audience Studio, CRM Analytics (and Plus), Salesforce Shield, Customer Community Plus, and Tableau).
• Able to mentor, coach and educate a team of skilled Salesforce engineers on the best use of Salesforce capabilities, where to customize and where not to, along with development best practices (fault tolerance, reliability, reuse, observability, etc) while cultivating a focus on continuous improvement
• Lead the resolution of critical incidents and provide leadership in proactively addressing product issues; continuously assess technology to build more stable, scalable, and resilient software; promote and expand on the use of the CI/CD pipelines to improve the deployment and build process
• Lead and facilitate engineering solutioning sessions to provide technical guidance to solve any technical roadblocks for the team; lead product planning and implementation; help team to understand and breakdown work

Basic Qualificati
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or another comparable field of study
• Have 10+ years of experience in Salesforce/web application development or software engineering in a large enterprise environment using modern frameworks
• Have demonstrable expertise with Salesforce frameworks/technologies such as SOQL/SOSL, Apex, Aura/Lightning Component, LWC, Triggers, Salesforce APIs, Apex Triggers, Classes, Callouts, SOQL, Workflow Rules, Approvals, Visual Flow, Process B
