Job Description

Network Operations provides first line support and troubleshooting for large scale production issues as well as assisting in the implementation of Data Center builds. Working closely with both the Network Engineering team and systems operations, network operations ensures maximum uptime of services as well as the expeditious resolution of all issues. The Network Operations Supervisor should drive teams to achieve goals and projects in a timely fashion and serve as a technical escalation point for the team. They will coordinate cross functionality between teams to implement data center builds and maintain network accessibility. The supervisor will also be responsible for staffing, training, scheduling, and guiding the activities of the Network Operations team. This is a brand new team that we are building in our Amsterdam office and opportunity to join a rapidly expanding European team prior to the launch of Disney+ in March 2020.

Responsibilities:
• Serve as a technical escalation point for Network Operations I & II
• Exercises leadership and day-to-day management of technical teams tasked with the operations of the data center
• Work with Network Engineering to implement Data Center Builds
• Produce accurate and reader friendly documentation for any new builds or procedures
• Performing routine hardware and software upgrades and configurations
• Communicate job expectations and fosters a collaborative climate

Basic Qualifications:
• Progressive experience in network operation leadership
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated expertise and understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite
• Thorough understanding and practical experience of routing protocols and switching technologies including PIM Multicast
• Substantial experience administering Cisco product lines (IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR and NXOS)
• Strong knowledge of firewall technologies
• Working knowledge of both Cisco Campus and VXLAN environments
• Knowledge of network and information security practices with specific regard to cisco ASA operation
• Working knowledge of Layer 3 routing protocols: BGP, EIGRP, etc.
• Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings. This includes occasional weekends, evenings, and holidays

Required Education
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related software engineering field or equivalent practical experience
• CCNP certification preferred
