Job Description
The Disney Entertainment Television Marketing Operations Team partners with the Walt Disney Company's creative content organizations and creative marketing teams to produce and deliver unparalleled marketing content globally in a deadline driven high volume environment. Marketing Operations manages and provides asset and media management, post production operations and services, and creative technology support in an agile workflow, using cutting edge and custom software and tools, to streamline the creation and launch of thousands of successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels and platforms. When you turn on your television, smart device or however you consume content, you will interact with media to which this team has contributed.

The Digital Media Center (DMC) is a highly collaborative team that works together to solve problems and deliver the best quality content in a high-volume fast turnaround environment. As a Media Operations Associate you will ingest, transform, process, and deliver media for post-production and distribution. Proficiency with media codecs and audio/video formats is essential. The projects performed under this position are deadline driven, often with short turnaround windows. You must be a detail-oriented team player with a strong work ethic. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential job specifications often need to be clarified and project statuses updated. Basic editing experience using Premiere is required. Experience as an assistant editor is a plus. The ideal candidate is a proactive go-getter and an avid learner who loves working with the latest technology in post production.

Responsibilities:
• Ingest, transcode, and QC media for use in post-production.
• Interpret client requests, transform media, and deliver media according to destination requirements
• Identify and communicate technical media issues to internal and external stakeholders, requesting redeliveries as necessary.
• Communicate technical information to non-technical clients.
• Rapidly troubleshoot and solution technical post-production issues as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to partners, clients and leadership.

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years, edit, production/postproduction experience required
• Experience working with Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere
• Solid understanding of video compression and transcoding, and professional encoding/media applications (Telestream Vantage, MediaInfo, Elemental, Adobe Media Encoder, etc.)
• Proficiency with media files: frame formats, codecs, timecode, captioning formats, etc.
• Proficiency with Mac/PC computers and file systems
• Ability to accurately input and interpret metadata
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple competing deadlines
• Self-starter, communicative, and consistent

Preferred Education:
• College degree preferred.

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $57,900 to $77,500 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
