About the Role & Team

Disney Advertising's Revenue Management division is seeking a Manager, Pricing & Planning to join our dynamic Planning team! For this role, we're looking for someone who enjoys managing, leading, and training a group of Sales Planners. As a Manager of Sales Planning at Disney, you will be responsible for providing mentorship, education and tactical direction to our Sales Planners and will be tasked with supporting the revenue generation of one or more Sales verticals (Agency/Category, Programmatic, Performance Marketing and/or Local). Reporting into the Director of Sales Planning, this role will be focused on leading all aspects of, hiring, training, and developing the Sales Planning team as well as focusing on evaluating, revising, and implementing new processes, sales strategies, and tactics. The Manager of Sales Planning will be accountable for monitoring the performance, workflow, and individual progress of each team member. The Manager will also provide their vertical(s) teams with pricing instructions and approvals for the Sales Planners and the Sales teams and will maintain relationships with business partners at various levels of the organization. The right person for this role must be very detail-oriented, a strong communicator, a problem-solver, and is adept at building & maintaining relationships. What You Will Do
• Lead a team of Sales Planners across US offices
• Collaborate with Planning Management counterparts to lead hiring process for new Sales Planners across U.S Offices
• Collaborate with Sales in assessing Sales Planner performance to ensure that personal and team goals are achieved
• Steward both internal and marketplace feedback to help resolve pricing/packaging gaps, roadblocks or opportunities.
• Utilize marketplace knowledge and experience to inform new and developing go-to-market strategies
• Collaborate with Ad Operations leads to provide a seamless workflow across pre and post sales functions
• Collaborate with Senior Management and Analytics to generate reporting, analysis of trends and support optimization to facilitate the growth of the business
• Create, manage and implement negotiated rate cards and ensure adherence to terms & conditions across Planning Management counterparts, Planners and Sales
• Support Sales as the first line of defense in addressing pricing & packaging inquiries
• Work with Pricing & Planning counterparts to ensure accuracy in commitment reporting

Required Qualifications & Skills
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience working in an advertising capacity, with a focus on digital yield, reporting and analytics preferred
• At least 2 years of management experience, either directly managing or proven experience leading and guiding teams indirectly
• Experience working within a national sales organization
• A strong knowledge of online ad products, ad serving capabilities, philosophies, and drawbacks
• Experienced Excel & PowerPoint user
• Experience working with Salesforce & Operative1 is a plus
• Ability to present complicated concepts and ideas in an easy-to-understand format
• Proactive and engaging, with a positive approach towards problem-solving
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, unstructured, and dynamic environment

The hiring range for this position in New York is $126,000 - $157,400 per year and in Santa Monica, CA or Chicago, IL, $123,000 - $150,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
