Working as part of the Corporate Communications and Social Responsibility team in Australia and New Zealand, this role primarily supports the Senior Manager, CSR, in addition to the Corporate Communications team, to deliver on programs, initiatives and tactics to maintain and build upon the reputation of The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) and deliver strategic CSR outcomes. This hands-on role involves end-to-end delivery of all aspects of social impact programs, cause-marketing campaigns, philanthropic thought leadership, program compliance and reporting in ANZ and APAC as required. The role supports internal and external communications and PR, including events and activations to drive engagement of Cast Members and stakeholder relations, and provides coordination and assistance to key members of the team. Responsibility is also taken for maintaining compliance and reporting. The role reports to Director, Corporate Communications ANZ with a dotted line to the Senior Manager, CSR, and works collaboratively and closely with all team members.

Key responsibilities

In supporting the CSR and Corporate Communications team you will:

Strategy and Delivery:
• Help design, create, launch and manage strategic CSR programs and initiatives that make an impact, while working to build and strengthen relationships with stakeholders in our business and across our community.
• Assist with developing TWDC's unique CSR competencies: drive shared-value, define and measure social and environmental impact, guide purpose-led brand engagements, acquiring and using behavioural insights, developing change strategies and plans, conceiving and executing cause-marketing campaigns.
• Support the Senior Manager, CSR, to develop CSR capability and strategy across APAC and establish CSR centre of excellence in the region through innovation and good practice.
• Proactively identify, deliver and coordinate key Corporate Communications programs, activities and tactics.
• Write and produce content for a variety of channels and provide hands on support for events and activations to drive Cast Member engagement and stakeholder relations.

Stakeholder Engagement:
• Help cultivate relationships and collaborate internally, and with external partners including charities, social enterprises, companies and stakeholders to achieve mutual CSR objectives.
• Play a key role in inspiring and engaging ANZ Cast Members, and a global, diverse workforce. Supporting our employee value proposition and internal Cast Member networks and resource/working groups.
• Coordinate and scale employee volunteering and giving through administration and promotion of the Disney VoluntEARS Program, problem solving and leveraging the program's functionalities to increase engagement and deliver high impact volunteerism.

Administration and Coordination:
• Assist on projects including preparation of plans, presentations and materials.
• Maintain planning and program management tools and resources.
• Perform administration tasks and duties, including coordinating and managing correspondence and corporate enquiries, coordination of meetings, scheduling, and calendar management.
• Perform administrative and program delivery tasks, including budget tracking, SAP processing, internal reporting and updates, T&E as required.
• Provide logistical support at events and activations.
• Research, build and maintain lists and databases.

Compliance, Reporting and Optimisation:
• Actively manage compliance and reporting of the FCPA and CSR Giving Dashboard reporting processes. This includes developing and maintaining metrics, collecting data against strategic goals and supporting adherence to organisational policies, practices and standards.
• Manage documentation and reporting process for TWDC giving via Cybergrants.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement.

Communications and Engagement:
• Work with Marketing and Communications teams to create meaningful and impactful internal and external communications plans, events and activations across key CSR and corporate engagement priorities.
• Write and create timely and meaningful news and CSR updates for Cast Members and external audiences, including annual reporting, working in collaboration with communications colleagues.
• Educate stakeholders about the benefits of boosting our CSR impacts.
• Help promote corporate news and information to various audiences, including via media and PR.

Required Skills:
• 3-5 years of experience in a CSR/corporate communications field or similar.
• Solid understanding of CSR principles and practices, the non-profit sector and corporate philanthropy, within Australia, New Zealand and globally.
• Experience in planning, coordinating and delivering communication and stakeholder engagement campaigns (including writing, creating and producing content) for internal and external audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work across different projects and priorities at the same time.
• Demonstrated experience in managing compliance, optimisation, and reporting of giving and social impact programs.
• Ability to analyse, synthesise and problem-solve.
• Strong technical skills in online platforms and reporting and compliance.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communications skills. A confident and persuasive presentation style.
• Strong interpersonal communication, engagement and influencing skills – with the desire to work collaboratively to build meaningful and productive relationships with multiple stakeholders (internal and external).
• Creativity and adaptability - able to deal with ambiguity and changing landscapes.
• Resourcefulness, flexibility, an analytical eye and organisation and prioritisation skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy, including an understanding and appreciation for audit and compliance.
• Proactiveness in driving innovation and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage competing deadlines and relationships while delivering high quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills
• Experience structuring, coordinating and managing cross-functional initiatives, ideally in a corporate environment working with employee engagement and communication teams.
• ­Proven ability to collaborate with the senior leadership, providing input and agreeing direction and implementing decisions.
• Ability to develop and manage program budgets, internal resources and third-parties.
• Understanding of ESG practices and reporting, sustainability, climate change and the relevant frameworks.
• Understanding of Australian and New Zealand media landscapes and political environment.
• Experience working in media, publicity or a communications agency.
• Ability to proactively identify risks, issues and opportunities.
• Systems knowledge and experience, such as SAP and Cybergrants.
• Qualifications in CSR or related fields; Corporate Social Responsibility, Environmental Sustainability, ESG, Behavioural Science, Communications, Events and Engagement.
