As our new Content Planner, you will operate as part of the local content planning team, based around the Nordics region, where the team all have the specific responsibility of high quality and outstanding content offering for Disney+ Nordics & Baltics.

The main responsibility of this role is planning and content curation for our regional streaming service. You will competently balance the needs and content availabilities of the Nordic & Baltic market, with an understanding of how their local service aligns to the global vision Disney's and wider strategies.

You'll closely collaborate with colleagues in the US who manage the operational preparation of content for the service as well as with our Content Localization and Operations Supervisor to ensure priority content for the region is adapted. Clear and time critical information will need to be shared to ensure the broader content workflow process operates as required.

You will report to the Content Planning Manager DTC Nordics & Baltics, and will collaborate with colleagues from your content planning team to build our content strategies.

This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week. This role is a fixed term contract for 1 year, as parental leave cover with target starting month being September.

What You Will Do
• Responsible for planning and merchandising on Disney+ Nordic & Baltics.
• Work closely with the Content Localization and Operations Planner to ensure plans are according to localization deliveries and Global plans through to the practical scheduling in What's On and other tailored planning tools.
• Work collaboratively with the rest of the Nordic content planning team on delivering the best possible content mix and strategies with an eye on short-, medium- and long-term development and growth for entertainment series. Be willing and able to react to market and consumer trends to ensure Disney+ is consistently ahead of the curve.
• Liaise with teams to understand availability and windowing of series, as well as help prioritising content for the region.
• Work collaborative with the Merchandising coordinator and the rest of the Content planning team to set and implement content curation plans for the Star brand page as well as Series page.
• Curate performance data using our Business Intelligence tool Looker and derive strategic lessons and share across the content planning team to optimize strategy and improve engagement on service.
• As required, feed into analysis of future content development and acquisition strategies to ensure efficient investment for the Nordic region.
• Stay updated on competitor plans to ensure major content drops and events are captured to advise other teams of coming competition
• Accountable for the scheduling and content drop and strategy of content featured on Disney+. Scheduling process to either take the form of utilisation of the Disney broadcast management system ''What's On'' and Maestro (bespoke tool), or via any other required tools or processes.
• Set content drop strategy under local governance based on localization deliveries and the regional content road map
• Accountable for ensuring all timelines are met with regards to content preparation and feedback to US teams to avoid last minute changes to the service.

Required Qualifications & Skills
• Experience in working within a broadcast or SVOD environment – either in linear TV or streaming.
• Confident with content windowing.
• Experience of using performance data to develop content strategies.
• Proven understanding and appreciation of our brands and the entertainment content on Disney+.
• Experience of acting within a global entertainment company and ability to build rapport with teams across multiple territories.
• A robust knowledge of the SVOD market and close competitors.
• Fluent language skills (verbal and written) in at least one Nordic language (Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish) as well as excellent English skills
• Knowledge of Content Management Systems such as What's On
• Confident using Excel and Google sheets
• Ability to embrace the understanding of new technologies that the role will be required to feed into.
• Strong levels of organisation with the ability to work to set timelines and developing business demands.
