Job Description
The GCO Delivery & Asset Management team are responsible for all screening requests inclusive of PR/Comms requested screener files, external screenings and ratings screeners. This team facilitates requests from all internal departments who need access to content for their lines of business including: Screeners (Ratings Screeners, PR, Awards, Marketing); Internal Screeners (Including PIX) and content requests for External Screening Events.

This team is also responsible for the trafficking and tracking of each individual asset required for delivery for a Disney+ Original Production. This includes keeping internal trackers up to date, checking in on delivery and QC status as well as updating delivery leads on any late assets. Finally, the role will play an important part in archiving final show material in our digital archive.

We are seeking a proactive, strategic Asset Manager who will be part of the Disney+ Global Content Operations team in Glendale, CA, reporting to the Sr. Asset Manager and focusing on content created in our local, international markets. You will be responsible for project management for our digital screenings globally including: providing screening links, tracking localized components and preparing and tracking screeners for ratings. Additionally, this role will support our Delivery team with asset delivery, tracking and final archival curation. This includes working directly with our Title Management teams and Mastering/Localization teams to source title-level information and asset delivery schedules that will enable us to service incoming requests.

You will also be responsible for project oversight and working within various internal tools and tracking systems. This role will require strong collaboration with multiple teams across the company and strategic thinking to anticipate issues and set up workflows for scalability. This role will be supporting our delivery managers to help onboard productions to deliver content to Disney+. They will assist with any digital delivery issues helping to troubleshoot any blockers. Traffic all content to vendors, transcode files as needed for various screening outlets. And most importantly be detail oriented in tracking the assets, knowing where each is in the delivery stage through approval in QC. They will work closely with all teams to understand deadlines and timelines for content access needs and continuously improving workflows to hit our target dates.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in project management and execution in managing content screening requests and asset management. They will be proactive in finding solutions and making the right connections with folks, both internal and external, in order to problem-solve. They will have the ability to analyze data and present project status and summaries. They will not be afraid to innovate new paths or influence to get buy-in from partner teams or escalate when needed.

This position will help to build how our partners and colleagues access content across all territories and regions. The ability to work across and with global colleagues to anticipate challenges and work towards improving and optimizing workflows will be a sharp focus.

A strong knowledge of audio, video assets as well as localization components (dubs & subs) sets this candidate up for success. A background in post production, asset management and delivery or technical operations a plus.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
• Collaborate with internal teams on asset and screening requests
• Understand and track the components needed for each incoming request
• Communicate timelines effectively to stakeholders across marketing, PR, programming
• Source early version cuts for each title to help facilitate marketing and localization workflows
• Troubleshooting digital delivery issues
• Working to define and refine metadata for each file
• Assisting Delivery Managers when content comes in to track files and status them to title management or systems
• Traffic all content to vendors: Mastering, E2E or marketing
• Transcode files as needed for various screeners and proxies required by the workflow
• Update trackers to note each asset was delivered on time
• Service digital screener requests and content access requests
• Digital (online) and in-person events
• Work with delivery managers to understand timing on assets
• Create ratings screeners and facilitate delivery of assets when available
• Other Duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
• 5+ years of experience with content screenings and asset management in Media & Entertainment, preferably with a content streaming platform
• Strong project management experience and the ability to juggle multiple projects at a time in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of Audio and Video terminology (e.g. Pro Res, wav files) and Localization assets (Subtitles, Dubs, SDH, AD, etc.)
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and a willingness to pivot as needed
• A collaborative spirit, especially as an expert at getting things done, all with a positive attitude
• Strategic thinking and the ability to focus on long-term scalability and growth of the business
• Ability to dissect workflows and make tool recommendations that lead to more efficient and effective processes
• Experience with virtual screening environments; e.g. PIX, Zen Desk
• Familiarity with production and post-production workflows including UHD, HDR, and Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos technologies
• Ability to question the way we do things and recommend alternative solutions that drive impact for the business
• Comfortable using various data management systems and tools (e.g. Google and Microsoft suites, Smartsheet, Lucidchart, PowerBI, Tableau)
• Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to command a room
• Understanding of content localization workflows and requirements
• BA/BS or equivalent experience required
• A personal affinity for the brands and franchises of The Walt Disney Company
