Job Description
Comprised of the Company's international business units and various direct-to-consumer streaming services, Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) aligns technology, media distribution and advertising sales into a single business segment to create and deliver personalized entertainment experiences to consumers around the world.

The Data team within Disney Streaming is responsible for unifying data from Disney's platforms and services to create a source of truth for data across DMED and ensuring data is consistent and trusted, making data accessible and actionable in a secure and compliant manner, supporting business objectives and connecting teams through insights and building best-in-class data products, algorithms and systems that drive value for our business partners across The Walt Disney Company.

The Business Analyst, Data Operations is a member of the Data Operations team whose charter is to deliver world-class service and support for Disney Streaming Data contract and staff augmentation onboarding/off-boarding, data access provisioning, monthly labor re-class and budgeting.

Key objectives of the role are to drive value delivery by decreasing ''time to contract'' through streamlined processes and platforms, increase operational efficiency by coordinating engagement across internal and external stakeholder groups, optimize labor cost management through disciplined and robust practices and implement streamlined, standardized, and governed processes to quickly and easily provide user access to critical data and its related tools and technologies across Disney Streaming and DMED.

The Disney Streaming Business Analyst, Data Operations role provides daily support for a wide range of tasks and engages with multiple stakeholder groups, including Disney Streaming Data managers, Legal, Sourcing, Finance, Procurement, InfoSec, IT Services, HR and contingent staffing. The role requires proven ability to support evolving requirements in a large-scale, deadline-driven and dynamic environment and must be adept at utilizing multiple tools and processes, operating without direct supervision with often ambiguous or undefined roles, responsibilities and processes.

Responsibilities:

Vendor Contract Management
• Support software/services vendor contract lifecycle, including new request intake, prioritization, status tracking, execution, purchasing, billing and cost analysis
• Establish a cadence with stakeholders to review status of requests, address issues and maintain awareness of pending activities
• Educate stakeholders on operational processes and help develop documentation/communication materials as needed
• Perform routine audits of various contract and purchasing systems to ensure accurate and complete records and maintenance of a single source of truth
• Support efforts to identify risks, resolve key project conflicts, and establish appropriate resolution paths
• Develop and execute change management and communication plans
• Track and manage dependencies across multiple projects; lead escalation processes to make issues visible to stakeholders and leadership; drive resolution of dependency issues through the process.
• Develop trusted partnerships with stakeholders by collaborating and delivering on common goals.

Staff Augmentation Support
• Support request intake, approvals, roadmap alignment review, prioritization
• Manage onboarding process with hiring managers and contingent staff
• Ensure complete and accurate labor tracking, including personnel data, costs, assignments and status
• Proactively address actions needed with stakeholders in a timeline manner
• Guide stakeholder education in effort to optimize processes and increase organizational agility

Labor Cost Management
• Manage monthly labor re-class processes in partnership with Finance, Data Operations and other stakeholders
• Identify process changes to enable consistency and automation, with a focus on simplicity and reducing administrative overhead for the broader organization
• Perform routine audits to ensure complete and accurate data records
• Lead Delivery and Operational Intelligence teams cross-pillar to capture and validate data inputs, including partnership with Finance

Data Access Provisioning
• Support the implementation of streamlined, standardized, and governed processes for data access requests
• Manage the request queue to ensure timely user access to critical data and its related tools and technologies
• Perform daily monitoring of requests to track status, support escalation and resolution of blockers or issues
• Support process documentation and stakeholder education

Basic Qualifications:
• BA/BS or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of supporting technical operations or IT administration
• 2+ years supporting financial or operational cost activities, ideally for technology-related products or services
• High level of business acumen in a global, data technology landscape
• Familiarity with accounting principles and practices
• Familiarity with data or digital technologies
• Experience with contracts management, vendor management or comparable
• Experience with productivity tools such as Airtable, JIRA, Lucidchart, Google Office Suite, etc.
• Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
• Excellent customer service skills, ability to work with technical and business stakeholders
• Superior interpersonal skills with demonstrated teaming ability to work well with peers, all levels of management, and external resources in a virtual team environment.
• Proven success operating effectively in a large, fast passed, deadline focused organization
• Strong sense of accountability and strive for high performance levels
• Motivated, positive attitude even in the face of daunting challenges

Preferred Qualifications:
• 3+ years of data, vendor or operational support in a global media or technology company
• Proven success with operational process definition and release
