Summary of Position
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven IT Project Manager to join our fast-paced film and television studio. In this pivotal role, you will lead a wide range of technology initiatives that support and enhance studio operations. Working cross-functionally with internal departments, external vendors, and content partners, you will deliver forward-thinking IT solutions that align with our evolving business needs.
As the IT Project Manager, you will oversee the full project lifecycle-from initiation through deployment and hypercare-ensuring timely, on-budget, and high-quality delivery. You will serve as the bridge between technology and business operations, bringing structure to complex workflows while fostering a collaborative and solutions-oriented culture.
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage IT initiatives across enterprise applications, sales & rights management solutions, data & analytical platforms and digital asset management systems.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Sales & Planning, Finance & Accounting, Business & Legal Affairs, and Content Operations) to define project goals, scope, schedule, resources, and success criteria.
• Manage demand intake, conduct project portfolio status meetings, and prepare reports on project performance and risks as part of the PMO administration activities.
• Apply structured delivery methodologies, incorporating emerging technologies such as GenAI where applicable.
• Develop and maintain detailed project documentation including plans, timelines, resource assignments, risk assessments, and communication strategies.
• Coordinate efforts across cross-functional teams, including third-party vendors and service providers.
• Conduct regular status meetings, manage stakeholder communications, and ensure transparency through milestone tracking and reporting.
• Standardize project planning and execution frameworks based on the nature of each initiative (e.g., cloud migration and ERP integration playbooks).
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and technology deployments in partnership with IT Support and business units.
• Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and contribute to vendor selection and contract negotiations.
• Identify opportunities for workflow optimization, improved process and systems efficiency, and enhanced user experiences.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, data governance standards and best practices in the media industry.
• Provide administrative support to the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring efficient coordination and execution of project management processes and activities.
Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of IT project management experience, preferably within media, entertainment, or high tech industries.
• Solid understanding of enterprise applications, SaaS solutions and data & analytics platforms.
• Proven success managing cross-functional projects in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environments. Strong track record for delivery.
• Proficiency with project and lifecycle management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, MS Project, JIRA, Smartsheet).
• Expertise in managing cross-departmental initiatives and delivering technology-driven business optimizations.
• Experienced leading projects with technology teams of internal and external resources & managed services providers
• Ability to create workflow, process and data movement diagrams to support stakeholder alignment and solution design.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud data warehousing (Snowflake).
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills; able to interface effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Cloud platform certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus.
Nice to Haves
• Experience with software implementation or system integration in a studio or media production environment. Consulting experience a plus.
• Knowledge of digital media supply chains, rights management systems, and content distribution workflows.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Salesforce, Snowflake, Rightsline (or similar rights/licensing solutions.)
• MBA or advanced business/technical degree preferred but not required.
• Significant Media & Entertainment industry experience. Strong background in working in Film & Television Studio IT operations.
