Associate Manager, Experiential (Freeform)
Freeform is looking for a highly collaborative, pop-culture fanatic with excellent project management and communication skills to join our team as Associate Manager, Experiential.
The Associate Manager, Experiential will work with the Executive Director and Senior Manager of Marketing Engagement & Experiential on strategic development and implementation of Freeform's marketing initiatives for individual television series as well as key stunts to increase brand awareness and drive tune-in. This includes but is not limited to developing buzzy brand and series partnerships with cross promotional opportunities, creating bespoke experiential activations, events at pop culture moments throughout the year such as Comic Con, SXSW, Essence festival, etc., as well as influencer initiatives. The position will also be responsible for priority series tv launches including marketing tactics, screenings, premieres, and pop-up experiences.
Responsibilities:
• Lead execution of specific marketing tactics working closely with internal and external Creative teams, as well as the Freeform Marketing Strategy team (and our media agency) when necessary.
• Consistently ensure the Marketing point of view is advocated for and represented in the final deliverable.
• Provide 360 event management from ideation to real time development of experiential marketing and event activations nationally and locally.
• Support Executive Director and Sr. Manager with all brand, strategy and execution needs.
• Manage members of individual event project teams consisting of agencies, freelancers and internal teams.
• Create creative briefs and other forms of project initiation to ensure the branding and design team has essential information and sufficient time to produce assets.
• Enter creative requests using internal management software and prepare legal contract requests for new projects.
• Evaluate and suggest creative, art and copy pertaining to event activations and occasional partnerships.
• Manage event production in tandem with Executive Director/Sr Manager and production partners on-site to ensure the event vision gets produced as planned.
• Assist in managing Influencer campaigns from briefing the agency to overseeing direct outreach.
• Maintain a working list of Influencers previously hired as well as new Influencers to consider.Always keeping an eye out for emerging talent to work with.
• Review all paid Influencer posts (with the social team) ensuring proper tune-in messaging and tagging for individual series and stunts.
• Set up detailed project documentation, roles & responsibilities, timelines and budgets that clearly define goals and expectations.
• Communicate key dates, action items, and updates regularly with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of event projects.
• Assist in managing project budgets including the ability to develop accurate cost estimates as well as overseeing vendor setup/invoices from external vendors.
• Create project recaps to be shared with key executives at the end of each event.
• Maintain a current working knowledge of relevant competitive and category landscape.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, social media, and device landscape to inform all existing ideas and/or inspire the development of new experiences.
Basic Qualifications:
• 3+ years marketing/experiential experience, preferably with a network and/or related client side.
• Experiential/Influencer agency experience a plus.
• Ability to travel to events as needed and for extended hours, requiring occasional late nights and weekends.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret directions and take ownership of assignments to completion.
• Must be able to thrive under pressure and manage many deadlines at once.
The hiring range for this position in Burbank,CA is $69,946 to $93,830 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
