Meet Our Team:

The Global QA team helps to span development, execution and reporting on various test activities as it relates to the Global Warner Bros. Discovery product. They will be responsible for technology, tools, automation initiatives as it relates to QA activities working with Frontend Client and Backend service teams spread across US / EMEA / APAC teams. The QA team works closely with the Quality engineering and framework team to consume the QA-aaS pipeline and drive improvements to QA automation activities as we scale our global platform.

Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities:

Scope and Complexity: You are able to create and execute test cases to validate user stories and regression testing working solo or with other engineers together. You are engaged with your team's automated testing systems by analyzing test results and identifying areas for increased automated coverage. You execute and build automated tests using the existing tests built by more experienced test automation engineers.

Decision Making: You are responsible for making decisions about test coverage for new features and for determining when to sign off on a feature or release based on your team's best-practices. You consider the team's automation capabilities in your analysis. You understand the differences between unit, integration, and user journey tests.

Execution: You have demonstrated the ability to utilize blackbox test methodology to execute test cases, document bugs. You engage with available tools (e.g. network monitoring tools, debug logs, performance dashboards, etc) for validating acceptance criteria and to provide more information to SDEs for debugging and troubleshooting purposes. You contribute to automated testing efforts.
Operations You provide documentation of new features and requirements from a testing perspective. You take ownership of regression testing and release testing coordination.

Influence You influence your team's processes and testing methodologies through discussions with peers and your management. You are persuasive in influencing your peers in prioritization decisions by documenting the impact and severity of bugs and performance issues.

Communication You are an effective communicator as exemplified by your clear writeups of defects, your ability to work with developers and product managers to understand requirements, and your interactions with stakeholders and adjacent teams.

Successful track record of instrumenting tools, automation, and processes at scale for frontend and backend QA activities (Unit, Integration, User journey, Load, payment, regression testing)

Understanding of QA automation workflows, CICD release pipelines, test environments across multiple products and release within an agile development framework.

Experience of working with frontend (iOS, Android, Web, Roku, CTV) and backend engineering and QA teams to coordinate dependencies and release planning preferably in OTT video market segment.

Experience using various tools and technologies such as JIRA, Confluence, GitHub.

Experience working with DevOps teams to drive improvements in Release Tools pipeline for automated tracking and reporting on release artifacts: JIRA items, sprint scope, bug report, test report, release notes.

Coordinate and track 3rd party releases and ensure releases do not conflict with other releases and events Experience writing automated tests cases in Java, Ruby or JavaScript ,AWS, Selenium, Watir, Testrail, Apache test tools, cucumber, Docker, Grafana, Jenkins, Jenkins Pipelines, CircleCi, Appium, and Confluence and JIRA admin tool experience.

Qualifications

What to Bring:
• 14-18 years of experience in building and growing a distributed team of quality assurance engineers with strong skills in test case development, test automation, test case optimization, load test execution, and test result reporting.
• Proven ability to hire top talent and develop team members into roles of greater responsibility.
• 3+ years' experience in large scale global product launches through a scalable automated release pipeline workflow leveraging CICD workflows and QA automation workflows.
• You have the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to meet aggressive goals and pre-defined measurement criteria.
• You have strong written communication, problem solving, process management, cross-team collaboration, and high customer empathy.

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
