Job Description
Senior Digital Account Specialist is the regional lead responsible for the pre-through post sale process of media planning/sales, inclusive of media plan building, campaign management of live campaigns and invoicing for the entire portfolio of Discovery digital properties/networks. As the regional lead, this individual will support the account specialists and coordinators by coordinating technology or business changes with internal departments and the regional support staff. This role will be held accountable for providing oversight and direction of which media platforms/products would best advertise a client's brand or product. Position will also serve as regional pricing and inventory expert in respect to systems, strategy, and economic factors.

Duties and Responsibilities

Account Specialist cross-divisional representative (Regional):
• Test, troubleshoot and help onboard advancements to any process, system, tool or software resources

• Identify key areas where improvements need to be made and design, develop, deploy

• Serve as team liaison for support staff for ongoing product, technology, or customer changes working with the AEs, Marketing, AdOps, Finance, Research, and P&I

• Maintain deep understanding of all systems, tools and resources

• Understand the relationships between all systems and how any changes/advancements will affect each departments' (Sales, Marketing, AdOps, Finance, Research, etc.) processes and well as direct team impacts

Account Specialist tasks will include (Regional/National):
• Identify which media platforms/products would best advertise a client's brand or product, build media plans given pricing and inventory direction, gather creative assets from advertisers, update ad sales, client and ad agency of campaign's progress, monitor delivery of campaigns, and invoice client/agency

• Mentor regional Account Specialists and coordinators on day to day business and inform team of changes to the digital marketplace/industry, go to market updates, and upcoming technology changes impacting the team

• Provide ongoing support/coverage for uncovered desks due to PTO, attrition, and business growth for all national business

• Provide insights into system usage/process adoption to management

• Identify areas of efficiency within systems, tools and resources

• Provide in-depth reporting to Director Revenue Operations and Planning and Sales Teams to better manage workload

• Bachelor's degree in a numerical discipline or equivalent years of analytical experience

• Strong analytical, communication and time management skills

• Ability to understand and interpret trends and react with strategic/tactical changes

• Good technical skills and knowledge of MS office, specifically Excel

• Strong communicator with ability to adjust / adapt to situations to maximize results

• Knowledge of industry technologies (Ad serving, Operative, Salesforce)

• 1+ year of experience as a Digital Account Specialist and/or Digital Sales Planner at Discovery, Inc.

• Ability to work face-to-face and electronically (e.g. telephone, e-mail, IM, social media)

• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment

• Ability to lead and work with a diverse team

• Must have the legal right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
• Standard office environment. Sedentary work. Travel required (less than 5%)

Educational and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a numerical discipline or equivalent years of analytical experience
