Overview
The Listings team a central function within Discovery Networks, working in collaboration with all of the local offices across Europe, Middle East and Africa, to provide them with marketing collateral that will support key publicity/marketing campaigns and content priorities. The team will research, write, edit and distribute programme descriptions and editorial metadata for all linear and VOD services for UK and EMEA.
This is a fantastic role for someone who considers themselves a strong writer with an interest in TV and media.
Responsibilities
To support the listings team in all linear responsibilities including:
• Research/write editorial metadata for linear services for UK
• Proofread existing metadata
• Input data into scheduling system
• Run reports to highlight missing metadata and keep track of amendments
• Create and distribute press listings to UK print press
• Create and distribute press schedule amendments to UK print press
• Issue EPG amendments for UK platforms
• Functions as a contact for all linear scheduling and press queries
Qualifications
• Excellent overall writing skills in a number of different styles/tones
• Impeccable spelling and grammar
• Degree in English communications, media studies or equivalent
• Confident, articulate, organised and a motivated, with a passion for marketing communications, publicity, media and television
• Proficient computer skills – word, excel, outlook
• Ability to manage time effectively and work to tight deadlines
• Ability to be responsive and reactive when required
• Able to handle multiple tasks at once
• Creative approach to their work and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Ability to learn to use internal content systems including; IBMS, HIVE
