The newly formed Marketing, Creative and Design group within Discovery UK is a hugely ambitious team set up to meet the cross-platform promotional and advertising needs of our growing streaming service discovery+ alongside our portfolio of popular Free-to-air UK channels.

Reporting to the Integrated Design Producer, the Design Producer (Studio Traffic) is responsible for the day to day running of the design studio, managing projects, bookings and budgets for a wide variety of cross-media design projects including brand identities; motion graphics for on-air promos; key art for multi-media campaigns; and video, print and digital assets for ATL campaigns, consumer, trade and internal comms.

The Design Producer (Studio Traffic) is required to optimise and maintain workflows and processes for maximum efficiency and effectiveness; working alongside the design lead to deliver brilliant work on time and on budget. The team works across multiple projects simultaneously and it is a fast-paced environment, so calmness and accuracy under pressure is essential.

Responsibilities
• Manage the design studio and workload of up to 12 freelancers a week and ensure the smooth running of the production teams' workflow and administrative processes.
• Oversee the pipeline of motion and static design work across campaigns, managing work conflicts and providing both long- and short-term solutions for allocating appropriate resource.
• Budget design costs according to priority, campaign budget, and deadlines.
• Use of the project management tool, Monday.com, to ensure that all bookings and status of projects are kept up to date
• Daily ad hoc communication with Producers, Creative Managers and Design Manager to ensure effective delivery of projects and to flag and potential issues / blockers
• Weekly resource meetings with the Design Team to discuss status of current projects and highlight any upcoming bottlenecks
• Maintain a contact sheet of freelance contacts including specialists across motion graphics, graphic design (print & digital) and retouchers/keyartists. Liaise with external recruiters when required.
• Tracking of all freelance designer costs and reporting back to Integrated and Digital Producers to ensure design work is delivered on time and to budget
• Act as Account Manager to Amazon for our on demand platforms, resourcing as required for video and digital artwork to promote key titles across discovery+
• Responsible for all freelance staff, ensuring they receive proper onboarding to workflows and process and have the tools and information they require to work on projects efficiently.

Qualifications
• Excellent Design Management experience of workflows and process.
• Experience of resource management and capacity planning, communicating consequences of changes to a variety of relevant parties. The ability to put contingency planning in place and mitigate risk.
• Calm under pressure and skilled in managing peak periods.
• Adaptable to constant changes and fast paced turn around workloads.
• Experience in using Traffic management software.
• Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Technical knowledge - Mac literate, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Excel and Word Skills.
• Strong client facing communication skills.
• Proactive, with a problem solving and solutions focused mindset
• Exceptional written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with creatives, producers, marketing and senior stakeholders
• Awareness and knowledge of current trends in the UK and global media and streaming services.
