Job Description
Overview

Provide administrative and process support in the daily execution of TV Commercial Operations functions. May be responsible for log production, copy editing, programming, VOD, commercial clearance or billboard production functions within the TV Commercial Operations department. In addition to primary responsibilities must be cross-trained on all traffic functionalities with a complete understanding of all policies and procedures. Proven abilities to multi-task and complete all work assignments by established deadlines is required.

Responsibilities
• Provide back-up for all desks and have proven abilities in log editing, copy management, program scheduling, commercial clearance, production
• Assume added responsibilities as required by daily workflow needs including infomercial management, vignette tracking and scheduling, review of high profile programming, document storage management, quality control logs/copy/programming, VOD and special projects
• Create daily broadcast log, including manipulation of paid units for maximum revenue potential
• Maintain assigned accounts and process all commercial instructions, accurately inputting information into traffic system. Print and proof daily worksheets for accuracy
• Assist in research and resolution of order entry or log scheduling issues including oversell and separation situations, conflicts, competitive issues, exclusivities, sponsorships, preempts
• Interact daily with Ad Sales, Creative Services, and outside agency personnel to resolve contract issues, provide information needed in the workflow process; expedite materials (instructions, media and commercial assets, billboards, promotional fill material)

Qualifications
• Minimum 1-year experience, cross-training on log/copy/programming/commercial clearance functionalities with proven ability to back-up all desks efficiently and without error
• High initiative level with willingness to continue cross-training and ability to manage high volume and meet all established deadlines; demonstrated flexibility and focus in high stress environment with emphasis on being a team player
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a deadline driven environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work within time constraints and exhibit flexibility in work hours based on business needs and seasonal demands
• Must exhibit excellent problem-solving abilities
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to compile, code, categorize, audit or verify information or data
• Ability to enter, store or maintain information in written or electronic form
• Must have legal rights to work in US

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Position is in standard office environment with sedentary work. Some overtime may be required - may be pre-scheduled or without prior notice as required for business needs. May be required to work remotely as needed for workflow continuity and deadline completion, and to ensure business resumption in the event of emergency situations.

Educational and Experience Requirements

Candidate should have minimum 1-year experience in TV Commercial Operations /Traffic with cross-training on log editing, copy, programming and knowledge of TV Commercial Operations processes and procedures. College degree or equivalent work experience preferred
