Overview

Reporting to the Senior Manager - Digital, the Digital Account Manager role is to achieve Digital sales targets for the Agency business, while also contributing to the overall revenue targets including TV.

This role is responsible for responding successfully to client briefs, negotiating contracts, uncovering new revenue opportunities and maintaining strong and effective relationships with agencies and clients.

A Digital Account Manager must have strong communication skills, and the ability to think creatively. They must be a confident presenter, have a high degree of personal initiative and drive, and a genuine interest in the media industry.

Responsibilities

Sales
• Achievement for monthly Digital revenue targets for the Agency business
• Managing a portfolio of agencies to deliver growth in revenue and market share of Digital
• An in depth understanding of digital ad serving technology including data and programmatic
• Using research and insights to support negotiations that grow clients investment
• Developing and maintaining strong and effective relationships with all digital teams and business leads within the agencies
• Delivering exceptional customer service to clients and agencies
• Effective call planning to ensure regular communications with relevant parties
• Tracking historical client spends and identifying revenue growth opportunities
• Competent planning of campaigns as required
• Ability to interrogate a client brief to ensure all required information is captured
• Preparing and presenting responses to brief (integration and VID) to a high standard
• Preparing and presenting post analysis where required
• Keeping the market updated on ThreeNow and Newshub.co.nz performance, opportunities and initiatives
• Strategic client planning to identify growth and target acquisition accounts
• Demonstrating a proactive approach to new revenue generation
• Writing compelling presentations, using research and insights to positively influence the outcome
• Ongoing monitoring of client spends and VID commitments
• Demonstrate an in depth understanding of all clients within the portfolio and proactively identify opportunities to grow revenue
• Contribution to the development and implementation of a digital centre of excellence within the MediaWorks agency team, that supports the broader team to deliver digital revenue growth

People
• Contribute to the development of the team, building succession
• Contribute to training of non-digital sales staff within the Agency team, as appropriate
• Working collaboratively and effectively with the Digital Operations team to ensure campaigns are accurately tracked
• Working collaboratively TV counterparts to ensure cross media opportunities are maximised
• Ensure strong and collaborative relationships with integration, operations, programming and other internal divisions of TV3

General
• Staying up to date with key trends within the media industry, locally and overseas
• Preparing and presenting quarterly updates to key end clients
• Presenting professionally and compellingly at quarterly content previews and on other occasions
• Strong knowledge of digital properties and trading tools
• Knowledge of the companies TV channels
• Build positive internal relationships and work closely with relevant TV3 departments
• Contribute to a positive 'above the line' culture that embodies TV3 values and lead by example
• Other duties as required

Qualifications
• 2-3 years' experience in a digital role within a media organisation or media agency
• Strong understanding of the media industry
• Understanding of media sales and how to influence revenue outcomes
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers and a strong customer service ethic
• Strong and confident communication skills both written and oral
• Ability to write compelling presentations
• A strong presenter
• Ability to think creatively
• Able to relate to a wide range of people
• Ability to be diplomatic when dealing with difficult situations
• Ability to prioritise work
• Able to work well under pressure
• Highly organised and able met deadlines
