The Authentics Ass istant will be a valuable member of the Tigers Authentics Team.  This person will assist with a wide variety of responsibilities that support the Authentics department's goals to authenticate and secure team history and drive revenue.

Key Responsibilities
• A ssist in all aspects of club 's authentic merchandise operations, which include inventory management of autographed and game-used authentic ated m emorabilia .
• Assist with the creation and preparation of pricing, timely sales, finance, and inventory reports.
• Communicate regularly with other departments, as well as other MLB teams, and the MLB league office about departmental initiatives and growing the program.
• Provid e day-to-day communication with Authentics customers via phone and email , facilitating direct sale orders ; coordinat e on-line auctions and shipping items on a year-round basis.
• Packa ge and ship items using FedEx and / or USPS .
• Stock and aesthetically merchandise main Authentics store on the concourse as well as other Authentics points of sale throughout Comerica Park .
• Support and build the implementation and fulfillment of a ll inventory processes, both on-line and in-house .
• Work all Tigers home games , which will include evenings, holidays, and weekends , as well as special events .
• Other duties as assigned by manager, which may include support of Marketing, Promotions, Alumni and Player Engagement .

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• The ideal candidate should be a recent graduate (within 6 months) with studies related to business, sport management, retail management or similar field .
• Previous experience working in sports, retail management o r related field .
• Extensive k nowledge of the history of the game of baseball and Tigers baseball .
• Excellent communication, computer, organizational and interpersonal skills .
• Experience with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
• The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills .
• The ideal candidate must be willing to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
WORK CONDITIONS:
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work long hours.
• Must be willing to work in all weather conditions .
• Must be able to lift, carry , and move heavy boxes , and stand for long periods of time .
