Vice President, Finance
POSITION TITLE: Vice President, Finance
Position Summary
The VP, Finance will lead the global consolidated reporting efforts for Deluxe Media Inc., reporting directly to the CFO. This role is responsible for overseeing consolidated financial reporting, including month end operating council presentation, key business metrics related to financial performance, transaction support and integration, financial budgeting and forecasting, cash flow and balance sheet forecasting and analysis, lender reporting support, month end and forecast/budget reporting, and other ad hoc projects. The position will collaborate with executive C-suite leadership, line of business leaders and equity sponsors to provide top-tier financial analysis support and leadership. Additionally, this role will assist the CFO with ad hoc projects, including identifying and developing financial process and systems improvement strategies across business units and transaction support.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead and motivate diverse teams to produce high-quality materials within tight deadlines while managing a large volume and broad range of projects.
• Provide accurate and timely compilation of budgets, forecasts, capital expenses, variance analysis, and other ad hoc analysis as needed.
• Ownership of monthly consolidated reporting for equity sponsors including Operating Council pack and supplemental reporting requirements.
• Help lead evaluation of potential M&A targets, support due diligence and post-transaction and integration support.
• Drive integration of Operational and Financial Systems/Processes to enable automated reporting of business and financial metrics.
• Manage quarterly and annual cash flow and balance sheet forecast preparation and analysis.
• Interface with corporate accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Assist in the development of ad hoc financial models, new business and product initiatives, and capital expenditure plans.
• Develop long-term forecasting models and other tools to aid in strategic planning.
• Serve as key advisor for Operational Process Improvements, working closely with operational teams to identify areas for improvement, provide financial insights, and support the implementation of process enhancements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master's degree, MBA, or CPA.
• Minimum 7-10 years' experience managing a mid-sized team.
• Proven ability to establish professional relationships and work collaboratively with a broad range of talent.
• Hands-on problem solving, including formatting/developing spreadsheets and running analyses.
• Experience coordinating with staff in remote locations and developing collaborative relationships with senior management.
• Significant experience in operations-oriented financial planning and analysis, ideally with mixed business models.
• Ability to synthesize information effectively and present it to top divisional and corporate management in high quality, readily accessible formats.
• Proactive organizational skills, with a proven ability to anticipate and react to future business needs.
• Team oriented and hands-on attitude, with willingness to pitch in and assist others as needed.
• Experience with entertainment/media companies, service-related businesses, and/or businesses selling high-tech solutions.
• Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
• Expert level skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with SAP Accounting module, SAP Business Planning & Consolidation, and Business Objects.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet project deadlines.
This role is based in Los Angeles, California and the base pay range for this role is $198,000 to $220,000 annually. Actual amounts will vary depending on education, skills, experience, and geographic location.
