Location: London, UK (hybrid working)

Position Summary

Supporting the Financial Controller (FC), the senior financial accountant will be responsible for the provision of timely and accurate financial reporting of the UK business. In addition, the role will be responsible for maintaining robust balance sheet reconciliations, preparation of the daily UK cashflow, and supporting the Group and UK audits.

Role and Responsibilities
• Preparation of monthly management reporting to strict timelines, and taking ownership for payroll and UK SG&A accruals and prepayments.
• Ensure compliance with inter-company processes to ensure deadlines are met as part of monthly close
• SG&A P&L pack - review SG&A P&L variances monthly and investigate as necessary. Assist FC in preparation of the pack for month end submission.
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations (Accruals, Prepayments, and Payroll cost reconciliations)
• Treasury: preparation of cash flow forecasts; liaising with EMEA colleagues to collate funding requirements; banking and credit card management.
• Assist with UK bank reconciliations and bank clearing accounts reviews.
• Forecast: assist in the preparation and load of annual plans and forecasts; partnering with shared service business leads to provide insightful analysis and resolve SG&A spend queries.
• Provision of support for the UK statutory and Group audit.
• Assist in preparation and submission of UK VAT returns.
• Support FC to resolve AP matters and ensure critical business operations are not impacted . This would involve liaising with outsourced AP function in Bangalore , India on an ad hoc basis.

Key Requirements

The role will suit a strong and hands-on finance professional in a fast paced and international environment. The successful candidate would require strong attention to detail, as well as:
• Excellent Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Newly Qualified/Qualified (CIMA / ACCA).
• Strong communication skills (both verbally and written).
• An inquisitive and logical mindset.
• Organised – able to deliver consistently good results within a tight timescale while managing various priorities.
• Prior experience of SAP and external audits/statutory accounts is desirable.
