Position Title

Director, Engineering

We currently have a need for a Director, Engineering. This position is ideal for individuals who have the drive and desire to 'make things'. It requires a highly motivated individual with attention to details and a hunger to learn and solve problems.

Main Duties

Manage multiple teams that envision, design, develop, and architect services for the Deluxe One platform, in addition to:
• Contributing to cutting-edge R&D initiatives including service integration with emerging frameworks and platforms
• Assisting with technical resolution of issues on mission critical production systems (you build it, you own it, you run it)
• Thinking out of the box to come up with solutions that scale, are fault-tolerant, easy to grasp and elegant
• Support and anticipate developer needs – you will be their go-to person for questions and support
• Partner with product management and operations to create and evangelize a world-class media services platform

What You Bring
• Proven track record as a software development leader with 6+ years of experience managing teams of 10 or more
• 6+ years of hands-on experience as an engineer with involvement in architecture, design, and implementation across many disparate technologies from the back-end through the front-end
• Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization from senior executives to entry-level engineers
• You are an A player, and you hire A players as part of extremely high performing teams
• Driven, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
• Experience with cloud providers such as AWS and GCE
• Experience with containerized microservices and serverless architectures
• Experience with distributed systems and related concepts
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL datastores
• Focused, dependable, detail-oriented, and hands-on – completes tasks quickly and thoroughly
• Excellent work ethics and communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal

Desired Experience
• Experience working in the digital media industry, including multiple facets of the digital media supply chain including production, post-production, and distribution.
