POSITION TITLE: Director, Finance & Business Operations - APAC
LOCATION: Seoul
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly strategic and hands-on finance leader to support and optimize our rapidly growing APAC business. This role will serve as the key finance partner to regional leadership, driving financial clarity, operational efficiency, and scalable frameworks across multiple entities in Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Australia.
This is not a traditional reporting role. The ideal candidate will bring strong business acumen, ownership mindset, and the ability to connect financial data with operational reality to influence decision-making across the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Financial Strategy & Business Partnering
• Serve as the primary finance partner to APAC leadership, including the Managing Director of APAC and functional leaders across Business Development, Client Services, and Operations
• Provide clear, actionable insights on profitability, cost structure, and investment trade-offs to guide business decisions
• Translate operational drivers into financial outcomes, identifying tangible levers to improve margin and efficiency
• Establish and scale project-level gross margin tracking across customers, titles, and service lines
• Guide customer pricing discussions as well as analysis and understanding of third-party costs
2. Cost Management & Optimization
• Build a clear understanding of cost drivers across markets, customers, and workflows
• Analyze labor costs and hiring needs to support business growth
• Identify and execute cost optimization initiatives aligned with operational realities
• Drive disciplined decision-making by linking spend to business impact and ROI
3. Accruals, Forecasting & Financial Planning
• Strengthen and standardize accrual processes across multiple APAC entities
• Lead regional budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Deliver clear financial narratives, connecting performance to underlying business drivers
4. Multi-Entity & Cross-Border Financial Structuring
• Bring structure and consistency to intercompany flows, revenue recognition, and cost allocation across APAC
• Partner with global finance and tax teams to align with corporate policies while adapting to regional needs
• Simplify financial structures to support scalability and reduce operational friction
5. Working Capital & Cash Flow Optimization
• Oversee working capital performance across APAC, including AR, WIP, and billing cycles
• Drive initiatives to accelerate the order-to-cash cycle and improve cash conversion
• Partner closely with operations to align billing, invoicing, and collections with delivery workflows
6. Process Improvement & Governance
• Design and implement scalable financial processes to support a growing, multi-market organization
• Align financial practices with day-to-day operations to improve efficiency
• Act as a key bridge between APAC operations and global finance teams
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 10+ years of experience in finance, with a mix of FP&A, controllership, or strategic finance roles
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to operate seamlessly in a global business environment
• Prior experience in US-headquartered or multinational companies, demonstrating familiarity with cross-cultural collaboration and global ways of working
• Experience managing or supporting multi-entity, cross-border businesses in Asia
• Strong understanding of accruals, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Demonstrated ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA or MBA is a plus) is preferred
