Position Title

Director, Data Analysis

Position Summary

The Director, Data Analysis role is designed to create and improve KPIs to grow and monitor Deluxe's businesses and services. This role will partner with internal stakeholders and their clients to forecast revenue across Deluxe's client portfolio, measure the impact of company initiatives, monitor the health of businesses and products, and understand and plan capacity.

The ideal candidate has experience working with complex data sets to derive insights, modeling scenarios based on different assumptions, and partnering with key stakeholders to create KPIs that measure their business objectives. In some cases, useful data sources may exist, but managers don't know how to use the data to advance the company's business objectives. In these cases, this role will work with managers to make their teams more data driven. This position will be remote, but proximity to Burbank, CA is preferred.

Main Duties
• Work with Global Account Leads Account Directors and their clients to understand and capture client wallet and Deluxe's share of wallet to assist with preparation of company's annual operating plan and forecasts, and build trends to assist with capacity planning, territory and market growth, and language expansion
• Use forecast information across Deluxe's client portfolio to inform internal hiring and outsourcing decisions
• Collaborate with Project Management Office to define, monitor and increase ROI of major transformation initiatives
• Partner with managers across Client Services, Billing, and Operations to use data to inform strategic decisions and improve the accountability and performance of their teams
• Perform analyses of business services and products to assess margin and cost by client
• Present findings to Executive Leadership on a regular basis
• Prepare ad-hoc analyses as requested by management
• Continuously identify and present solutions to improve KPI/metrics to address business needs
• Collaborate with Data Science and Product to incorporate research and findings into reporting and dashboard solutions

What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, MBA a plus
• 10+ year experience in data analysis, strategic planning, or consulting
• The ideal candidate will have great analytical acumen
• Experience with Google Script, Tableau and writing macros preferred
• Expert in presenting and communicating visual data insights and complicated assumptions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT) required, including advanced Excel skills
• Solid communication (written and verbal) skills
• Organized and detail oriented
• Comfortable working in a demanding fast-paced environment, taking on new tasks, handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline driven department
• Can create complex financial models analyzing risk vs reward
• Experience at a studio and vendor role a plus

This role is based in Los Angeles, California and the base pay range for this role is $148,750 - $175,000 annually. Actual amounts will vary depending on education, skills, experience, and geographic location.
