Executive Producer, CW7 Arizona

CW7 Arizona (KAZT) in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking an Executive Producer for its local produced programs. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the program has a cohesive vision that aligns with the brand image. You will introduce new ideas and concepts that keep with station initiatives and creates relevant content that engages our audience and community. You will work closely with hosts, producers and the production team to meet competitive goals and ensure that all aspects of production run smoothly.

As the Executive Producer, you will coordinate with account executives and marketing to safeguard our platforms for revenue driven content. You will oversee talent development and be hands-on with booking, research, pre-interviewing and prepping guests for the show.

Candidate must have excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills. Be able to work under tight deadlines, handle pressure situations, and provide thoughtful and decisive solutions.

Duties include but not limited to:
• Responsible for evaluating stories; organizing them into a cohesive sequence within a program or digital content for the web.
• Ensures each production is highly produced, teases are strong, and content matches the station brand, adhering to research priorities.
• Define strategic direction for content coverage to meet business and financial objectives.
• Manage the talent team, contribute to the editorial process and make solid decisions in breaking news situations.
• Execute strategies that engage and grow audiences across all media devices.
• Provide timely feedback for talent and producers and coach them to become future leaders.
• Assist in identifying, recruiting and coaching high potential producers and hosts and MMJ's.
• Provide support for special projects and special programming outside of regularly scheduled productions.

Requirements & Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, TV/film or the equivalent.
• At least 5 years' experience in television or radio broadcast/production.
• Must be able to interact well with sales, video journalists, anchors, videographers, managers, production and engineering staff.
• Detail oriented.
• Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills.
• Strong judgment, journalistic integrity and understanding of viewer needs and expectations.
• Utilize state-of-the-art television technology.
