The Job

The CW Television Network is currently looking for an Associate Creative Director who can also write, produce and edit at the highest level. This position reports to the SVP, On-air Creative, and is responsible for providing leadership and creative direction to a team of senior writer/producer/editors while simultaneously producing high-quality campaign creative for The CW Brand and CW programming. The Associate Creative Director will oversee campaign development, strategy and creative while working closely with all marketing partners. Must have excellent communications skills to liaise with show runners, talent, programmers and external agencies.

The Daily
• Provide team leadership to deliver high-quality creative campaigns.
• Supervise projects, timelines, schedules and workloads while setting priorities and goals for staff members.
• Represent the creative marketing team at meetings while providing meaningful input to best support a campaign.
• Lead and guide in-house creative teams to produce short form promotional content (e.g., trailers, TV spots, upfront and sales presentation, digital content, etc.) for CW programming.
• Modern promo/trailer sensibilities and exceptional AVID editing skills desired .
• Must have strong writing skills in both drama and comedy.
• Have a firm grasp of on-set etiquette along with strong production knowledge experience.
• Familiarity with popular social media platforms and how marketers use them.
• Effectively build and manage relationships with internal teams, as well as talent.
• Work with external agencies to deliver high-level creative.
• Manage campaign deadlines and budgets.
• Provide mentoring of junior staff.
• Act as a trusted advisor and leader across the company.

The Essentials

We are seeking a strategic thinker and creative problem solver, with an ability to influence, ideate and execute groundbreaking ideas while building strong teams focused on passion and creative innovation. The candidate will have expert knowledge of creative marketing concepts, development and production with proven ability to manage creative projects from conception through implementation.
• Education: BA/BS degree in Communications, Film/TV, or related field required.
• Experience: 5+ years experience in writing and producing on-air promotions with a complete understanding of the ''promo process'' from beginning to completion. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Project Management Experience: Ability to supervise project timelines, deadlines, and participate in planning and preparing campaign budgets.
• Technical Experience: Avid editing skills a must. Adobe creative suite skills desired. Small scale production skills a plus. (Directing, DP, lighting, A/V knowledge, etc.)
• Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively to overcome obstacles and seize opportunities.
• Leadership: Must have strong managerial/leadership competencies, and ability to inspire and nurture individual talents within a collaborative environment.

The Compensation
• $220K - $230K Commensurate with experience and skill level.
