Development Assistant

Job Description

Producer with major studio overall deal looking for a full-time development assistant.

Mostly focused on unscripted development so a working knowledge of that space, formats & the players is a must. Possible forays into scripted development but unscripted formats (game, competition, social experiment + docs) will be main focus. Producer has long history in both traditional and new media so having internet / streaming / podcast format, talent & cultural knowledge a huge+.

Looking for someone with genuine intellectual curiosity about the world and people. Someone who comes into work wanting to share something they saw, read or learned. Huge part of this job is bouncing ideas back and forth and coming up with new things. Self-starter. Wildly optimistic & positive. Hard worker. Building of creative pitch decks & presentations significant part of this job so must be good visually and have a deep skill set in that space.

Must be great with talent and a good understanding of the talent ecosystem.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Researching and developing out new show ideas with Producer

Making and crafting engaging presentation pitch decks & presentation videos (MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE)

Managing extensive library of show pitches and ideas

Following and diving into new and emerging trends

Answering phones and managing Producer meeting schedules

EXPERIENCE:

At least two years experience necessary, ideally in TV development / agency space.

Extensive experience using Adobe Creative Suite (or similar) to craft decks and small pitch presentation videos.

Must be huge consumer of all forms of media

Deep internet knowledge + social media ecosystem awareness

Position will be remote until later this summer and perhaps even then will only be part-time on site at the office in Universal City.
