Audio QC Engineer / Mix Technician

Responsibilities & Duties

The Audio QC Engineer / Mix Technician is expected to handle QC work for various clients from project start (when deliverables are received) all the way through project completion (delivery back to client). This would include correcting audio mix errors found during the QC process. Additional responsibilities (depending on shift schedule) may include supporting mixers in Theatrical Atmos mix room.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years AUDIO QC experience in Studio or Third-party Vendor environment.
• Ability to properly identify audio problems including ticks, pops, dropouts, sync issues, incorrect mix/bus errors, phasing issues & more.
• Extremely proficient with Avid ProTools and familiarity with plug-ins such as Nugen, Izotope, Waves, etc.
• Knowledge of current industry Audio Specifications for Theatrical & Nearfield platforms.
• Thorough knowledge of audio re-recording process including immersive formats is beneficial.
• Intermediary knowledge of consoles including C24, AVID S3, AVID S6.
• Extensive knowledge of Mac & PC Operating Systems & Office Software.
• Problem solving/trouble shooting capabilities in a fast-paced post environment.
• Ability to communicate in a professional & clear manner with others.
• Mixing experience is a plus but not required.
