Your New Role…
The Writer, Electronics, will provide coverage of consumer tech and electronics products for CNN Underscored, CNN's Reviews and Recommendations section. The position will report to the Senior Tech Editor and help expand Underscored's E lectronics vertical, covering new tech launches, testing products to for in-depth reviews , and reporting news and trends in the consumer electronics and tech space. This role is also tasked with tracking and implementing evergreen article updates and research ing and writ ing sales/deals articles .

We are seeking someone with 4+ years' experience covering consumer electronics for a major publisher , a proven ability to break down complex tech into digestible, consumer-friendly news, review and feature content, and in-depth knowledge of the latest and greatest across tech and electronics , including mobile phones, computers and peripherals , smart home gear, wearable tech, headphones and home audio.

D eep contacts within the tech industry are a must .

The right candidate can qui ckly adapt to the CNN Underscored voice and audience but is also encouraged to test creative new angles on consumer product and service coverage and help us continue to expand our electronics coverage.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Keep abreast of the tech product landscape , working with the editorial, SEO and analytics teams to provide coverage that engages readers and grows audience.
• Aggressively seek products for review and procure early notice and first-round access to products ahead of launch dates
• Conduct in-depth product testing for how- to's , buying guides, and
one-off and comparative reviews
• Writ e news and announcement posts with quick turnarounds
• Work with the Senior Tech Editor to maintain tech and electronics editorial calendar
• Make key updates to evergreen copy, ensuring top-performing articles reflect seasonality and include the latest products
• Work with the SEO team to ensure stories and story updates comply with their guidance
• Pitch story ideas and contribute to regular brainstorms
• Occasionally appear in videos for reviews, how- to's and other content related to your coverage

Qualifications & Experience…
• College degree in journalism or a related field preferred
• 4+ years of editorial experience covering tech and electronics at a major publ isher, ideally in a product-review and/or commerce capacity
• Deep knowledge of the tech space with strong contacts in the industry
• Passion for employing shopping strategies and finding the best deals
• Flawless grammar & spelling
• Strong creative and writing skills
• Must be detail-oriented, organized and have strong communication skills

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $77,840.00 - $144,560.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
