Job Summary:

CNN is seeking a visionary programming leader to drive its editorial and creative streaming strategy. This role will be responsible for developing live and taped programming for CNN's new streaming platform while innovating new storytelling formats. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with deep expertise in journalism, programming, digital media, and audience engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative Strategy & Editorial Leadership
• Develop and execute the editorial mission and creative style of streaming programming in collaboration with executive leadership.
• Innovate and leverage diverse digital storytelling formats and platform real estate to optimize programming for the modern consumer.
• Develop engaging and compelling programming for a streaming world

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Workflow Optimization
• Ensure seamless collaboration with CNN's existing newsgathering, digital programming, and production teams.
• Collaborate with the CNN Talent Organization to define a strategy for talent presence.
• Work closely with product and tech teams to optimize content discoverability and user engagement.

Qualifications & Experience:
• 10+ years
of experience in programming, editorial leadership, or digital media production.
• Proven expertise in leading digital-first content initiatives for a major media, streaming, or news platform.
• Strong leadership experience, including hiring and managing creative teams.
• Deep understanding of news cycles, audience consumption trends, and digital storytelling formats.
• Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments, balancing short-term execution with long-term strategy.
• Experience collaborating with talent, production, and editorial teams to drive content innovation.
• Strong analytical mindset with an ability to use data to inform content decisions.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $185,010.00 - $343,590.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
