Job Description
We are currently searching for a Senior Producer to manage international digital news content across all topic areas, overseeing production and collaboration across CNN's global organisation. The role spans global and US news, supporting coverage from breaking developments to trending and enterprise stories.
The ideal candidate is a digital- and social-first storyteller who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can operate independently while leading others, and excels at managing multiple priorities. Strong editorial judgment, hands-on production skills, and the ability to talent-produce on-air correspondents and contributors for digital platforms are essential. This role requires flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and overnights, and a proven ability to deliver high-impact video for global digital audiences.

This position covers early morning shifts, including weekends, as follows:
• Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 05:00 to 13:00 GMT
• Friday and Saturday 03:00 to 11:00 GMT
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Co-lead a team of producers to create, publish, and optimize video storytelling for digital and social platforms
• Collaborate across CNN's global news organization on daily coverage, breaking news, and enterprise projects
• Pitch and develop compelling video story ideas across all news topics
• Talent-produce on-air correspondents and contributors for digital video, including scripting, shaping interviews, and refining on-camera delivery
• Use performance data and audience insights to inform assignments, story framing, and platform strategy
• Research, write, and assemble script elements, and provide clear, constructive feedback on team members' scripts and edits
• Ensure all published content adheres to CNN's editorial, legal, and production standards
• Plan proactively for news events, enterprise initiatives, and broader network priorities
Qualifications & Experience…
• Proven experience at a major media outlet, with experience of managing others
• A track record of excellent news judgment and a love for breaking news
• Experience creating digital video and supervising its creation, as well as shooting digital video in a variety of styles
• Familiar with social media platforms and vertical video
• Knowledge of post-production software such as Adobe Premiere or similar
• Clear leadership style. Ability to articulate expectations & hold others accountable
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, overnights and extended hours as the news cycle and deadlines require.
