We are seeking an experienced Senior Editorial Producer for FlashDocs. FlashDocs will create content for linear with the opportunity to expand into additional platforms across CNN. This is an ambitious and exciting team that requires strong leaders and creative storytellers who have experience producing feature documentary content that can be turned quickly. This individual will be a senior leader on the team and will be responsible for oversight of the editorial booking strategy for all content coming out of this group. This individual will manage one editorial booking producer, but will be expected to lead additional members of the editorial team.

The Daily
• This individual is the unit's top booking representative responsible for consistently and enthusiastically pitching stories and working with the wider editorial team to book dynamic characters, experts, and public figures for taped segments.
• The ideal candidate is passionate about news and pop culture, with a talent for unearthing stories and topics that are provocative and buzzworthy.
• The Senior Editorial Producer will oversee one Editorial Producer and should have an interest in leading and mentoring the next generation of dynamic producers and storytellers.
• This individual has strong relationships within the entertainment community and is expected to identify, establish, and maintain critical relationships with newsmakers, talent, publicists and sources with the goal of expanding the team's network of bookings.
• This person is a fearless communicator with a proven track record of being able to talk to just about anyone with confidence.
• The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-based, breaking news environment and is capable of maintaining schedules and workflows, while meeting aggressive deadlines for on-budget work.
• The Senior Editorial producer will be called upon to oversee individual segments and features. The ideal candidate should be a strong writer, capable of approving producers' scripts, pitches and working with the wider editorial team including DP's, editors, and executive management..
• This position reports directly to the Executive Producer, and will partner with internal stakeholders across the organization.
• There will likely be light to moderate travel, as the Senior Editorial Producer may be called on to provide oversight for shoots in the field.

The Essentials
• Experience as a booking producer or equivalent production experience.
• Proven performance and an established rolodex covering a variety of landscapes is necessary.
• Strong editorial judgment, and a knowledge of the digital landscape is required.
• Years of long form and feature storytelling experience
• This candidate must be able to multitask, execute quickly, and be editorially strong.
• This person should have a strong grasp of social media as it relates to popular culture.
• Organizational skills and writing skills are essential to this position.
• Ability to oversee multiple stories at a time.
• Second language is a plus.
• Ability to travel as needed.
