What does our department do?
The CNN Worldwide Commercial Sales Team is responsible for broadening CNN's revenue streams through the global portfolio of cross-platform assets and increasing the value CNN provides globally to global advertisers in North America and abroad. This team works closely with global brands and agencies to create media partnerships that drive incremental growth domestically and internationally.

What will you be doing?
The Sales Planner will be responsible for supporting and coordinating sales efforts across the department. You will help with the development and execution of integrated cross-platform campaigns by working cross-functionally with diverse teams and business units in multiple locations and countries. This includes, but not limited to CNN and Warner Media US and International sales teams, CNN's In-house creative studios ('Courageous' in the US / 'Create' in international markets), Marketing & Network Partnerships, Research, Audience & Data, Ad Operations, Programmatic, Commercial Clearance, Trafficking, etc. We're looking for a dynamic person who's passionate about media, sales/business development, and marketing with strong execution skills to help support the growth of our global business.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Support development of RFP (Requests for Proposal) process utilizing ad products, sponsorships, and targeting to strategically address the advertiser's needs and campaign objectives (cross-platform)
• Understand the full suite of products and capabilities across all platforms
• Build and revise media plans, check avails / inventory, reserve fixed placements and update associated fixed sponsorship calendars
• Ensure media plans include accurate pricing and utilize approved products and available inventory and adhere to WarnerMedia's workflow and systems
• Enter final plans into online proposal formats provided by agency
• Organize research and competitive information for senior sales team members
• Participate in Sales Planner trainings and provide guidance to team members to nurture/promote team environment
• Work closely with sales team to tactically drive company-wide goals and improve operational sales process
• Assist Account Manager and Account Directors in day-to-day responsibilities
• Oversee IO processing and booking for the campaign setup
• Campaign management for existing campaigns optimization through data analysis
• Maintaining smooth running of active digital and linear campaigns with operations team, ensuring that client are continuously updated on active campaigns
• Help build campaign reports to show results and success of the overall campaign
• Provide general day-to-day support to the team members of our CNN Worldwide Commercial North America Sales Team – including pre-sales, campaign management and post sales
• Work cross-functionally with different internal business units to help develop successful marketing and media partnerships
• Attend internal creative brainstorm sessions to support the creation of global media campaigns
• Help with the development of PowerPoint presentations for internal and external purposes
• Foster relationships with internal, external, and advertising agency contacts and serve as a liaison in monitoring accounts
• Develop a working relationship with Sales Operations team on the Digital and TV side of the business to ensure timely, precise order process and campaign success

What do we need from you?
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Min. 2 years of relevant experience of working in a strategy or planning role at an agency / media owner required
• Interested in and possessing some knowledge of Media/News Broadcasting Sales
• Strong administrative and organization skills
• Possess a passion for media & advertising, intellectually curious, and interested in a media sales career
• Familiar working with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). Preferably strong skills with PowerPoint and/or Excel.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, time and people management skills
• Enjoy working in a group and independently to complete daily and weekly tasks
• Desire to learn, work in a fast-paced environment and be proactive
• Immediate availability is preferred
