Job Description
CNN is seeking a creative and collaborative journalist to join our newly formed Editorial Product Strategy team. This team serves as a vital bridge between the product teams and the newsroom, working at the intersection of journalism and technology. In a period of rapid growth and transformation, this team will combine the needs of our editorial teams with the insights of product developers to drive innovative digital storytelling and enhance newsroom efficiency.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Help design, execute, and analyze tests on emerging products and tools, identifying challenges and recording successes to inform future product decisions and roadmaps.
• Build and maintain relationships across the newsroom, product, and transformation teams to identify and engage relevant stakeholders for new initiatives and projects.
• Track existing product roadmaps to assist with messaging between the newsroom and product teams by clearly articulating priorities and expectations, thereby supporting, reinforcing, and safeguarding the alignment and execution of priorities between teams
• Liaise with the transformation team to develop training materials that teach and scale the necessary skills for new platforms and tools.
• Assist with the rollout of new tools and systems, ensuring that news desks receive adequate training and support.
• Partner with the analytics team to identify recurring wins for CNN and envision ways to deepen audience engagement.
• Track the performance of initiatives so we can effectively execute or adjust strategies as needed.
• Identify and seize opportunities to improve editorial operations with product solutions.

Qualifications & Experience…
• At least 3 years of news experience
• College degree or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven track record of strong editorial judgment and innovative storytelling in a range of narrative formats.
• Experience in multimedia production and storytelling.
• Strong writing skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Experience with audience growth and analytics (preferred).
• Self-starter with a passion for collaboration across teams and bringing fresh ideas to an organization in transformation.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $68,432.00 - $127,088.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
