The Producer II is responsible for executing the programming strategy for video on CNN's core platforms--including desktop web, mobile web, mobile apps and TV apps--as well as CNN's off-platform accounts (including YouTube and TikTok). The Producer II collaborates with the Senior Producer in the development of playbooks to serve the digital audience. They manage daily team assignments and coach direct reports in career development and growth.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Programs both core platforms and off-platform accounts and monitors content performance and adjusts tactics to deliver business goals
• Collaborates with global programming team to elevate video content for digital audiences
• Can pitch, develop, and execute programming tactics and ideas independently
• Manages daily team assignments
• Uses real-time and historical data to understand video insights and use those for programming decisions as well as share with direct team and other partners in the org
• Manages delivery of sponsorships
• Participates in conversations with the team that encourage innovation and growth
• Team lead for special event planning coverage
• Responsible for leading off-peak shifts, such as overnights and weekends
Qualifications & Experience…
• Four-year college degree. Journalism degree preferred
• 5+ years producing/writing/editing in a major news market
• Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro or similar editing system
• Familiarity with analyzing data and using insights to inform editorial decision-making
• Excellent communication skills, news judgment and headline-writing skills
• Ability to lead during breaking news situations
• Ability to make editorial decisions while programming core platforms
• Conveys spirit of teamwork, positive attitude (eager, energetic, team-oriented)
• Flexibility (Can deal with rapid changes in news, adapt to breaking news, and handle several tasks at once)
• Must be able to adapt to a 24h/7 days a week news environment
• Must be able to work shifts at all times of day and night

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $68,992.00 - $128,128.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
