The Job

The CNN International Producer 1 is responsible for coordinating the technical elements of on air segments for anchors, reporters, and guests.

The Daily

These duties include booking flash cameras for anchors, assigning and coordinating ifb's/pl's, relaying last minute information to field teams, and working with the international desk to make sure reporters are available as scheduled. Other duties include communicating anchor introductions/questions and elements to reporters. Some producers may also be required to build and execute their own show rundowns, liaising with show teams and working with the desk and planning on reporter and guest requests. A Producer 1 is also expected to have a full understanding of the editorial direction that the network is taking on a daily basis. Must be willing to work any shift including weekends and overnights.

The Essentials

All applicants must have basic broadcast production skills, the ability to operate in a control room and work well under deadline pressure, and a passion for international news. The successful applicant must also have a BA degree or equivalent work experience. This position is required to work in person at one of our locations in the United States.
