Job Description
The Role:
As a Multi-Platform Producer for Connect the World with Becky Anderson, you are an innovator, a risk-taker, and an enterprising self-starter who's passionate about telling stories to CNN's global audiences on every screen you can imagine. You'll imagine, craft and execute projects that work across Broadcast, Digital and Social platforms.
On Broadcast, you'll work with the Emmy award-winning show to build and output creative, thought-provoking shows for CNN International's viewers. You'll pitch segment and guest ideas. You'll build the shows. And you'll spend time in the Control Room outputting them. You'll also get to spend time pitching and producing packages that work across all platforms. You'll be a key-player on the show's core editorial product: the show itself.
On the Digital front, you'll build-on the shows significant successes online and help us take it to the next level. You'll use the massive editorial engine of the show to help propel that forward – using guests and editorial from Connect The World to increase the show's exposure on CNN.com. And so you'll work your Connect The World team to collaborate with our Digital colleagues and pitch, write and publish compelling articles and videos based on all that. And you'll keep it all versatile: when pitching a project for Broadcast, you'll know a digital and social strategy to accompany it.
On Social, you'll help manage the show's quickly-growing foot-print on its social media platforms. You'll make sure that the content we generate on the show and on-shoots all has a Social thought to it. You'll share the responsibility of maintaining and growing the accounts with the team.

This is an exciting role to work on creative, thoughtful and impactful editorial projects that will take yourself, and the show, forward. We don't expect you to be an expert across all three – but you'll need to be ambitious, driven, creative and hard-working to really succeed in this role.

The Daily:
• Pitching, building and outputting broadcast shows live from its hub here in Abu Dhabi;
• Writing for the shows, offering thoughtful narrative-led segments to our viewers
• Managing, maintaining and actively pursuing opportunities to grow the show's audience across all our platforms using the best elements from our TV broadcast, and imagining new ways to connect with our audience on digital and social.
• Conceiving, planning and executing copy, video and graphical content that works on TV and online.
• Coordinating with CNN's digital and social teams across the world to ensure the highest possible reach for Connect the World's content across the Network's vast audience, as the world's #1 digital news destination.
• Ensuring that all Connect the World projects – from interviews, to outside broadcasts, to daily production – have bespoke elements designed to be Digital first.

The Essentials:
• Self-starter, with an ability to enterprise ideas and flawlessly bring them to life
• At least three years of Digital editorial and production experience; broadcast journalism experience preferred
• Strong track record in delivering exceptional projects across Digital and Social platforms
• Able to demonstrate exceptional writing skills
• Ability to make fast, tough decisions under pressure; organised.
• Demonstrative knowledge of current affairs and the Middle East.
• Willingness to travel in the Middle East is required.
• Must be eager, energetic and team oriented.

The Nice to Haves
• Experience of outputting newscasts, with a good knowledge of television production
• Languages other than English, especially regional languages, are an advantage.
• Experience of working and living in the Middle East preferred.
