Job Description
The Associate Producer (AP) supports the production of content for CNN's audio department. The AP will work across all of CNN Audio's podcasts. The AP will assist with the editorial and technical production of CNN Audio's podcasts, including daily news briefings, weekly shows, and limited series. The AP will produce and fact-check content to align with CNN's editorial standards. The AP will develop their skills scoring and engineering audio, gain an understanding of how to create a podcast from ''soup to nuts'', and get to work with some of CNN's household names.

This role reports to a CNN Audio Senior Producer.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Take direction from the audio unit's Producers and Senior Producers to develop and produce podcast episodes as assigned for various shows.
• Work closely with producers and hosts to develop ideas for episodes, including topics and guests.
• Edit podcast episodes and news briefs in Descript.
• Pre-interview guests and handle all booking logistics.
• Prepare editorial research and materials for interviews.
• Manage remote and in-person recordings.
• Collaborate with hosts and producers on episode outlines and draft scripts.
• Fact-check scripts and ensure all episodes meet the content, quality, journalistic and legal standards of CNN.
• Support social promotion, including by identifying memorable audio bites and drafting social media language for episodes you produce.
• Pitch ideas for future episodes and shows.

Qualifications & Experience…
• 2+ years of editorial experience, with a strong audio background. Bonus points if familiar with Descript, but experience using Pro Tools or Audition is sufficient.
• Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with agility in rapidly changing environment.
• Passion for news, politics, history, and popular culture.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; a true team player.
• Ability to thrive under pressure with diverse staff and talent.
• Flexibility with operating in a 24/7 news environment.

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $49,009.00 - $91,017.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
