Job Description
CNN International is looking for an Anchor Producer to join our team. The Anchor Producer will work closely with the anchor Rahel Solomon on our new morning show in New York. The candidate is responsible for preparing anchor for live interviews/breaking news and printing scripts. The candidate should be able to produce high-volume, conversational anchor copy under deadline pressure. Interest in covering business news is a plus. The candidate will also be expected to help create elements for the show and for any live hits. Working early mornings will be required.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Primary responsibilities include writing for the anchor, research and working with the show producer to ensure the anchor is on top of the latest developments in the stories we cover on the program.
• Background research on interview subjects and segments will be a part of the daily responsibilities.
• This person will assist the anchor and producer in coming up with compelling questions
• The Anchor/Producer will work closely with management to ensure that copy is urgent and direction of segments fit the show's mission.
• Coordinate with multiple show teams and work with the anchor on network priorities including business reporting hits.
• The Anchor Producer stays through the live broadcast each morning and any live hits following the show

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Research, and write compelling, conversational anchor copy for CNNI newscasts.
• Collaborate with Producers on content, formatting scripts, viewing video and graphic elements, and finding relevant sources.
• Write stories on a variety of topics, including leading international and business news.
• Effectively coordinate script, live shot and interview elements with APs and/or Producer
• Communicate effectively with remote teams in Atlanta/London
• Support New York anchors

Qualifications & Experience…
• Must have a BA or equivalent work experience.
• At least three years of experience as a producer or associate producer
• Experience writing for broadcast
• It is important for the candidate to have a thorough understanding and proven experience in handling international stories.
• Successful candidates will demonstrate an active interest in business news
• Must have the flexibility to work different shifts including evenings, overnights and weekends.
• Must be able to function efficiently in the high pressure of a breaking news environment.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $77,000.00 - $143,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
