Public Relations Coordinator, CNBC (PEP)

Responsibilities

PLEASE NOTE: This is a short term position unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

The PR Coordinator will support the CNBC Primetime PR Department with administrative and operational responsibilities, including the network's daily press clips. By day, CNBC is the recognized world leader in business news. By night, CNBC in primetime is an entertainment network with a programming slate that is an extension of CNBC's distinct brand. CNBC at night features a mix of new reality programming, CNBC's highly successful series produced exclusively for CNBC and a number of distinctive in-house documentaries.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Compile network's daily press clippings that are distributed to key executives throughout the network and company.
• Create and disseminate weekly and monthly programming listings and highlights.
• Provide support to primetime PR team by assisting in the daily management of press and publicity efforts.
• Build and maintain press lists.
• Pitch primetime series content including talent interviews, press screeners, clips, photos, press releases, etc as well as assist with requests for assets.
• Upload and distribute weekly press screeners.
• Maintain awards calendars, monitor deadlines and compile network's primetime awards submissions.
• Manage primetime production calendars, secure unit photographers on set as needed and create shot lists.
• Assist with booking talent travel and creating talent schedules.
• Assist with talent appearances, interviews, photo shoots, press stunts, junkets, TCA, etc.
• Track competitive landscape and keep team apprised of all breaking news and monitor social media for all network and series related coverage.
• Assist in the creation of show press materials, programming releases, and selecting photography.
• Work closely with marketing, social, legal and production.
• Manage and update press website.
• Develop positive relationships with press, talent and their representatives, producers, production staff and programming executives in order to assist dept. in maximizing press coverage and minimizing crises.
• Support PR team including some administrative work (managing invoices/reconciling department expenses, etc.)

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Must have at least 1-year experience in communications or public relations
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and have basic computer skills
