Job Description
Responsibilities
CNBC's Digital Video team is looking for a talented and driven video producer to work on a cryptocurrency-focused video news project.

The producer should be well-versed in the fast-growing world of crypto. A proven understanding of related technologies, such as blockchain-decentralized finance and cryptocurrency mining-will help a candidate stand out.

The journalist should also be equally proficient in all aspects of digital video production, including scripting, booking guests, shooting and editing digital video pieces and packages under tight daily deadlines. This producer should be professional and should communicate clearly when delegating tasks to associate producers, collaborating with fellow producers, and guiding on-screen talent.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a short term position with an estimated duration of 1 year, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

The ideal candidates are self-sufficient producers who can turn around smart and clean scripts under tight deadlines. They must also be able to produce and publish a daily news wrap-up show each day, working with on-camera talent and editors to ensure a smooth and high-quality news product. They should also be fluent in Adobe Premiere and Photoshop and have a basic understanding of After Effects. Candidates with experience in live TV or breaking news or live digital production will be preferred.

Most importantly, candidates should be passionate about finding and telling the right stories in new and engaging ways. This producer will work with the Supervising Producer on the News and Programming team to produce this franchise and increase its audience across various platforms.

Qualifications/Requirements
What you'll bring:

At least 5 years of experience in all aspects of digital video production, including shooting, editing, lighting, and scripting
• Script and/or voice-over news writing experience
• Understanding of cryptocurrencies and related technologies
• Proficient and proven technical skills in DSLR cameras (Canon, Sony, Panasonic), Adobe Premiere, and other industry standard equipment and tools
• Knowledge of multimedia storytelling and working knowledge of online publishing systems
• Demonstrable organizational and time management skills and the ability to work well under deadline pressure
• The ability to lift, carry and transport production equipment on a regular basis

• Strong interest in innovative video storytelling and strategic thinking around social media
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours and travel
